Why not educate yourself instead of just regurgitating nonsense

yogthos ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

What does the site the content is hosted on have to do with the actual content which you obviously did not watch. Utter brain rot on display here. It’s an interview with the US puppet who started the protest and what she herself is saying about it. The fact that you didn’t address that and went off on an idiotic rant about rumble really says all we need to know about your intellectual capacity.

@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

Weirdly, I’ve seen plenty of people who appear to genuinely like Js and Ts.

yogthos ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

Oh hey, remind us what this “peace plan” is exactly?

yogthos ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

This was is absolutely not at a stalemate. Ukraine just wasted their offensive capability and all the weapons they received in an offensive that failed to accomplish anything. If people seriously think that Russia isn’t going to go on an offensive of their own with the 400k troops they assembled, they’re in for a big surprise.

Yeah, it’s what you’d expect from a country that’s winning the war, and Ukraine is not winning the war while rapidly losing support as pretty much all western media admits now. A few recent examples for you:

Except LISP doesn’t do it terribly, and in my experience there are a lot less parens and other separators than in most languages.

yogthos OP ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

Having worked with Clojure for over a decade now, I find it far easier to refactor than most other languages I’ve touched.

yogthos OP ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

The comic doesn’t say anything about Lisp doing it terribly either. It’s saying that people who complain about parens are dealing with far worse in mainstream languages.

yogthos OP ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

It’s making fun of people who say that lisp is ugly and confusing. There’s nothing to refute there either since the claim is nonsensical as anybody who’s actually used lisp knows.

yogthos OP ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

Looks like a typical Js/Ts codebase to me. :)

check out all the colonizer scumbags downvoting you

shut the fuck up colonizer

yogthos ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

you know what’s even better, go back to the reddit cesspool whence you came from

yogthos ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

Remind me what’s loopy about pointing out that US occupies Hawaii and genociding the native population there colonizer?

yogthos ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

lol yeah gtfo colonizer

yogthos ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

indeed, reddit migration brought over some of the most deplorable people here

I recently learned that carbonic acid formed by co2 and water in soda ends up eroding enamel of the teeth. The more carbonated the drink the more severe the effects.

yogthos OP ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

Absolutely, it’s the same mechanic as natural selection in nature. The system creates selection pressures on society, and people act in a way that makes sense for them to act given those pressures. The system ends up selecting for particular behaviors that are successful within its constraints. A really great concrete example of this in action is what happened when USSR dissolved and the transition to capitalism happened. All of a sudden the same people who were acting as communists under the old system quickly saw the new opportunities presented to them and turned into oligarchs overnight.

yogthos OP ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

It’s the ultimate greenwash. The real solution would be to nationalize this industry and then use the profits directly to fund transition to clean energy sources. Anything short of that is not going to be enough.

yogthos OP ,

the best system possible

Karens is a pretty accurate description

I’ve been using Lemmy for four years now, and this instance only started becoming an annoying place after Reddit migration with people constantly complaining that Lemmy isn’t like Reddit.

Not sure why you think it’s relevant what instance your account is on. As long as instances federate we see each others posts.

The irony of you nitpicking what I said while accusing me of acting like a redditor is pretty funny.

Another country has called Xi a 'dictator' and China is not happy with that description (edition.cnn.com)

China has lashed out at Germany after its foreign minister called Xi Jinping a “dictator” and summoned Berlin’s ambassador for a dressing down, in the latest flaring of tensions with a western democratic power over how the Chinese leader is described overseas.

yogthos ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

Antagonizing China while going into a recession is a really bold move by Germany. I guess that’s what you get when you put opportunists in charge of running a country.

yogthos ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

Also love how the communists are the only ones who have a functioning society that you’d actually want to live in.

yogthos ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

Ah yeah, just look at Chinese population leaving en masse, oh wait.

yogthos OP ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

I completely agree that the crisis has a systemic nature and it’s no going to be fixed through personal choices. I do think forcing people to commute to work is an example of a systemic problem though. It’s ultimately employers who are making this decision, and after the pandemic we know perfectly well that many jobs that require people to come to the office can be done remote. Forcing companies to facilitate remote work would benefit the employees and the environment.

yogthos OP ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

Except I never said either of these things. This is just you fighting a straw man.

yogthos OP ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

Yeah that’s me, and being able to recognize that one system is a better option than the other has nothing to do with the straw man you keep making. It seems like you’re having a really hard time wrapping your head around the concept that one thing can be preferable to another without either being perfect.

yogthos OP ,
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

Yeah, please give up on pretending you were trying to reason. What you were doing was making a transparent straw man and ignoring what I told you. That’s just lazy trolling.

ah but US currently steals Syrian oil and grain while occupying a larger percentage of Syria than Russia is of Ukraine
