I once was fired for being a top performer but being a contractor. Me and another guy were doing 45% of all the IT help desk work for a top American insurance company. Then one day th company that employed us had their contract terminated. This means that we were asked to leave. In the exit interview I asked if it was performance based, because I felt we did most of the work, they complemented my performance and even noticed that I was the best at making coffee but they had to start making better financial choices and we were welcome to apply for full time work with the company.

Funny how it worked out because the next job was the one that really put me into the career position.

So I have to say that sometimes bad things happen when it’s not your fault but it can be a blessing in disguise. You might be opening a door to something better.

There’s many professionals that continue to work well beyond 65. Most doctors and lawyers for example. Plus independent business owners and sports coaches… List can go on.

Basically it’s none of the governments business if someone doesn’t want to stop at 65 and fuck off if you’re suggesting the government should be enforcing some age limits on it. It’s the opposition that is responsible for building a strong enough case against old politicians that force them to retire. Not the government.

A girl I dated sold a set of modeling photos to one of the clip art sites in the early 2000s. She was in a movie too, but all of that right after we broke up.

The photos of her from the photoshoot would show up in weird ways. She was all over the internet! She was an advertisement on the front page of msnbc for a while. But the real kicker was seeing her photo on the wall of a futon store. Like frickin huge. The store was on a corner of a busy intersection. I could see the picture on the wall as I turned the corner. WTF One time I had to stop and go inside just to check if I was making it up. My wife agreed it was her!

And for like 10 years I would see it used in random places.

She was and probably is super cute so not surprised she had some luck selling her appearance but JFC I’m pretty sure some dudes fell in love with her. I did to but at least she was interested in me too

I took back a half acre of those things. Believe me when I say that I am 100% with you. I wish a blight wipes them out so much. If you are able, digging up the ball root makes removing them easier. They are almost impossible to eradicate but if you can get the root ball out, they are totally weakened. I bought a pawn shop weed eater and those plastic blades. I went through so many blades and the weed eater died a sad long death.
