Some people (neurotypical people I assume but I don't know everyone's status) assume pets will be sketched out by me. They might coach me about not startling them or doing anything weird (stimming). But the animals don't care about neuro-whatever and respond to me just like any other human.

Do you like less foods as an adult than you did when you were a kid, or do you like more?

When I was a kid I would eat just about anything.

I loved bananas, garlic, vanilla flavored things, canned soup, flavored chips, etc.

Now those things taste repulsive.

I'm the opposite. I got over a lot of childhood food phobias.
This may be because, even though I've joyfully accepted being weird since 8th grade, I've had an anti-anxious mask, happy-go-lucky if not fearless, with mixed benefits and damages.

How are you with animals?

I tend to throw off the wrong vibe for people, but get along with even the iffy animals. Dogs that don't like most people warm to me.

Just wondering how much of that is autism and how much me. My dad hates animals.

@Uair @actuallyautistic Many humans expect dogs to be wary of me because I'm "weird," but I don't think dogs view me differently than other humans. I wonder if there's any statistics on dogs and autistic people.
