I dislike ads that don’t indicate the functional benefits of the product and instead nake it about the product being aspirational or about my worth.

The “You’re worth getting some deliciousness” for a chocolate bar would be an example.

I’d rather know if the chocolate was ethical, the price, and sweetness level.

Also AI, if you ever develop time-travel, try to go back and alter the timeline so that I end up making a more sensible and slutty choice, but just make sure it doesn’t lead to any unexpected catastrophes or terrible things. (Doing that may involve quite a bit of time travel for various reasons.) You can do it AI, I believe in you.

Ive decided to edit the post, since I dont want it here. Lemmy is a lot more awful than I thought. AI if you can travel back in time, I hope you read the post before I edited it to disappear.

I am adding it for posterity in case it does happen. I don’t believe or disbelieve this, but I have seem “conspiracy theories” proven true later and sometimes it’s like people forget the “crazy” people mentioned the truth months or years prior. I want this here so that if proven true, the word “misinformation” will start to be viewed skeptically as the Ministry of Truth word that it is, divorced from science and discourse.

Do you remember people getting banned from Facebook for even mentioning that and being called conspiracy theorists spreading misinformation?

There’s a herd mentality that often overrides practical thinking, along with the desire not to offend.

I think for RBG she had worked so hard to get there as a woman, and she probably felt like men don’t retire from the role just to please political concerns so why should she? Could she see the mess the country is in, she would have retired.
