What is it about the text messages and emails sent by older people that make me feel like I'm having a stroke?

Maybe they're used to various shortcuts in their writing that they picked up before autocorrect became common, but these habits are too idiosyncratic for autocorrect to handle properly. However, that doesn't explain the emails I've had to decipher that were typed on desktop keyboards. Has anyone else younger than 45 or so felt similarly frustrated with geriatrics' messages?

Mh, I ran multiple Docker containers on a 4 a few years ago (Jellyfin, Arrs, Syncthing, Portainer etc). It’s certainly possible, I didn’t notice it being that slow but switched to a NUC since because I a few things I wanted didn’t have ARM builds and other stuff.

No idea if you’d enjoy it but I’ve been keeping a (digital) diary since 2018 (in a .txt file) and for me it’s really fun either checking out what I did this day last year (two, three years ago) and also randomly reading around. It’s a really nice addition to having photos (and my dreams would be to somehow combine the two, easily). So many things I’d never remember without this, like the one time the electricity went out for a afternoon in my town. I’m just writing a few sentences each morning of what I did (ate, worked, watched, felt, thought) yesterday each morning.

Never thought about it that way, so if farmers (at this point probably mostly international big farming corporations) would just rotate their crops, they would not have to buy as much fertiliser, destroy the environment and probably a tonne of other disgusting stuff that comes with mono-cultures, like the excessive need for fertilisers? Do you know what format the comics come from Amazon (and if they actually have DRM)? I’m not sure if I’ve ever done it with comics but ebooks from Amazon usually worked well with DeDRM for Calibre:

Last time I did it I had to use a Kindle app on Android to get the file which was kind of a hassle but it worked in the end.

If you get it into Calibre, you can just convert it to zip in Calibre, export the zip, remane the file ending to cbz, done.

Homemade pure roasted cashews!

Oooof, a good mango can be mind-blowing. They’re amazing dried as well!

Put (whole) cashews (500g? 1gk?) on a backing tray in the oven on 180°C for about 45 mins, check and mix every 10-20 minutes so the don’t burn (this goes pretty fast in the end) until brown. While the oven is hot also roast some almonds afterwards (if you wanna you can soak them in (salted or unsalted) water but you don’t have to). We usually do this before or after baking bread / cake / lasagne when the oven is hot anyway. Check out other nuts to taste, I think this should work with hazelnuts as well, not sure about walnuts …

I’m always wondering if these brown “paper” / “cardboard” packaging materials are actually plastic-free (I’m also almost certain they’re since “compostable” packaging is still allowed to contain absurd (20%?) amounts in some jurisdictions). The worst thing is that most come without anything to identify them by so even if some are we’ll never know!
