Once again, the media taking a study and pushing a narrative with it.

From age 12 to 14 and 14–16 years, the interaction term between social media use and the intercept (i.e., overall level) of social anxiety was negative and significant, indicating that increased social media use forecasted a small decline in social skills among those with higher levels of social anxiety symptoms

So, there’s no overall relationship, except a negative one once you factor in an interaction term.

Theres also nothing here that says people who spend more time on social media are more mentally “healthy.” Just that they have more friends. Or do they use social media more because they have more friends? This isn’t some slam dunk for social media.

In this case, I think it’s probably more so that it could be a lot better. Idk all the details and people always try to sneak shit in, but this (admittedly short) article sounds promising.

APRA includes language from California’s landmark privacy law allowing people to sue companies when they are harmed by a data breach. It also provides the Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general, and private citizens the authority to sue companies when they violate the law.

As I said in another comment, illegal /= unethical or immoral. Most people on the list used shady, yet legal, practices. Few probably engaged in outright illegal acts to obtain their wealth.

The problem, once again, is not the lack of viewers or revenue. The women do not get the same cut that men get, AS A PROPORTION of total revenue for the league.
