What made you choose your instance?

Following the spirit of spreading across the Fediverse (and because my main instance is down so many times, because diverse reasons) I’m intrigued about the joining instance process, because I honestly don’t know what criteria to have in order to join another one if I ever want to do it....

Artemis for kbin is out in public beta. Tho limited to the app’s official instance. But if you don’t mind lurking or changing instance, check it out.

Official /kbin api hopefully rolls out soon. I just forked the dev branch of it :)

There is an API it’s just in code review. So probably for the next release of kbin, we’ll see more instances w it :)

Is it me, or the hive mind mentality has come over here as well?

I’ve posted some controversial stuff, and I understand why I would be getting down voted for that. But I see some of my posts and comments are in the negatives for seemingly no reason at all? I don’t really care about the karma because I can’t see it anyway, but I’m worried that comments and posts here are gonna get...

Don't you find it disappointing that people apply Herd Mentality for upvoting top comments, even if it's not the best one out there?

It doesn’t matter if the most upvoted comment is pro or against subject in discussion. All that matters is bolstering a comment that is minimally compatible with participant’s thinking and making it win against the opposite argument (competing and most voted one)....
