There are a lot of people who say they don't want to be defined by being Autistic, but honestly, I wish I could go back to every adult who thought I was rude or lazy, and explain to them that, I was doing the best I could, with limited understanding I had of myself.

@AutisticAdam @actuallyautistic Same, just with ADHD in my case. Sympathies.

I am officially old and cranky.

For me, "Romantasy" will always be a corset maker (especially tight waist/fetish corsets); the domain is now, sadly, a porn portal.

So when I see a teen/YA book labeled "romantasy" as a portmanteau of fantasy and romance, my entire face twitches.

Gotta admit, though, that typography on the title is gorgeous. I'd have picked up the book just for that back in the day. It does need a tiny echo on the curl of the W, though.

I'm . The sound of the train blowing its horn as it passes my house makes me cover my ears in pain. But the throbbing bass of the engine that causes a deep pressure in my chest from the vibration makes me feel happy.

When I was a kid, I used to crank up the bass of my parents' stereo and sit directly against the woofer to feel that pressure. They would always yell at me to turn it down. I've always loved that feeling.

@Tooden @hosford42 @actuallyautistic @neurodiversity with (another aspect of neurodiversity). Could never match my heart rate because it’s all over the place, so became a bass player.
