For those systemd users, it seems not as a big of a deal as “the register” poster might imply. In the end it’ll depend if the new soft reboot is called or not (it’s doubtful distros will change default behavior either).

I just got my home server up and running and was wondering what you guys recommend for backups. I figure it will probably be worth having backups on cloud servers tjay are external, are there any good services yall use for that?

Earlier this year, I built a new PC and it’s running Ubuntu. I’ve been installing various apps and configuring them since then. Now, I realize I don’t have any way of knowing what I would want to reinstall, if I (for instance) lost this drive somehow....
