Nice write-up. Not really for me as I prefer to keep my library made up of whole albums and min. 320kbps since I ditched Spotify.

Check out Symfonium if you haven’t and you’re using Android - it’s by far the best subsonic client I’ve used.

I’ve heard there’s a bug that can cause old posts to show in Hot if your instance admins haven’t restarted Lemmy in a while.

Looking forward to trying it. It has been over a decade since I last used it.

Anyone know if Google Tasks can be integrated?

This migration tool works quite well and includes importing blocked communities: github.com/CMahaff/lasim

No worries! I used it myself today with great success. Thanks for the awesome tool.

YSK there are sites that offer you a temporary email address for signing up for services that require one (like some Lemmy servers)

They work by giving you a random email address that is available for a short time (ex. 10min) and an inbox for any messages you recieve during that time (ex. an email verification message from a Lemmy server)...

Just don’t ever forget your password to said Lemmy instance because you won’t be able to reset it.

lemmy apps you should try and experiment with (lemmy.world)

I made a folder with my fav lemmy apps that I tried so far, and they are sorted by favorite to less favorite. By far, wefwef is my most used and I do switch to lifoff sometimes. Also, the official lemmy app is really not bad compared to reddit’s official app. I would say try all of them and see which one works the best for...

No, and it’s unlikely there ever will be. Jerboa is the closest thing as it’s a project by one of the main Lemmy devs.
