I wish it was more acceptable (except snuggling, that's a bit much too intimate)

Once, the answer to a problem that was stumping me came while driving in the middle of nowhere at 01:00am back from a weekend trip.

Well, you chose the boring bees. The Meliponini stingless bees have much cooler names.

I got dengue this year.

A week of pain and extreme weakness.

Don't recommend.

@Toes
Main symptoms are joint pain, pain behind the eyes, weakness (I felt couldn't hold myself up out of bed for more than 15min), and more dangerously a large drop in the number of blood platelets (mine got to half the healthy expected minimum), for some people it becomes hemorrhagic.

@Mouselemming
I think for the extreme cases when it becomes hemorrhagic.

Thankfully, it's uncommon. But it's more likely if one has gotten it before.

The only good thing about the far-right is that it's always eventually autophagic.

My understanding as a layperson: probably stuff is probably around here somewhere, probably.

Not OP, but why not love it? It's one of the cleanest, greenest, safest, and efficient power sources we have.

It might have a higher initial upfront cost, but the return on investment over a plant's whole lifetime makes it one of the cheapest. And even then, they don't take long to break even.

I've found this reference that seems good:

https://www.world-nuclear.org/information-library/economic-aspects/economics-of-nuclear-power

There's certainly more, but I'm not nuclear powered and don't have the mental energy for online debate 😁

It looked suspiciously biased. I'm going to research more.

Not catholic, so I don't know their official position, but as I understand, in extreme circumstances any liquid will do.
Part of it involves the idea of "washing", or "being washed", so solid water or water in solids would not count. And also the idea of purification, but many use dirty river water.

dan , to religion

When you think of religion what comes into your mind?

For many of us it's probably something like, “man's pursuit of the divine,” or “a system of beliefs,” or “the crutch of humanity,” or “the worst thing that's ever happened to humanity.” Whatever our understanding or definition it's typically tinged with a bit of negativity.

How many folks do you know say something like, “I'm spiritual not religious”? In
many of my circles that saying goes like this, “Christianity is a relationship not a religion.”

Religion is apparently not a very popular thing...

“Christianity is a relationship not a religion.”

Funnily, IIRC "religion" originally meant "reconnection", so would implicitly have a meaning of relationship.

😳 sorry! I managed to not see the link.

Very interesting observation about the "world without religion" actually being the everyday world, the world with broken connections.

I always saw the "reconnection" meaning being applied to the relationship between humanity and God, but I liked your applying to the relationships between people, and indeed it is very much in line with the message of Jesus.
