Hey folks! I'm I'd really appreciate advice, ideas, etc.

My Mom's certain my Dad was ASD (maybe PDA or ?) And I'm starting to think always was, also.

how hard is it to get an "official" diagnosis so that I can get accommodations at work or whatever?

(Part 2, continued from earlier question)

I do have some conditions with overlapping symptoms which will complicate the process, like cptsd, juvenile onset with resulting brain damage, neuropathy, anxiety, etc

Also, I'm poor and live in rural north California (I'm on medi-cal, aka partnership insurance)

Any tips, shares, etc appreciated. Good luck everybody!

Yes privilege is a real thing especially here in the "boonies". 😪

If it's OK to ask- did you have to put together your own solid diagnosis case, to steer your way thru the medical process, or were any of the doctors very helpful? If they were, was it a specialist- if so- what type of specialist?

Ok doesn't sound that hard
(Not nearly as hard as living with it, right?)

I think part of what I really want is confirmation/ validation, because I'm not expecting a "cure" or anything 😄

Also, since the Diagnosis of my diabetes was such a relief, maybe there's a positive association in my mind to getting "approval"?

Anyway, seriously, good luck with that, and thanks for the insights!
