Smartphone batteries usually get damaged between 2-3 years of use, nowadays it doesn’t matter if you use slow or fast charge that it’s being determined by the charging cycles supported by the battery at the moment of the manufacture, I suggest you to learn how to disassembly your own phone and buy a replacement online to avoid big extra charges, it’s more easy than it seems.

What about using a VPN?

PoliticallyIncorrect ,
@PoliticallyIncorrect@lemmy.world avatar

If it’s a problem related to their location(country) it could be fixed with a VPN.

PoliticallyIncorrect ,
@PoliticallyIncorrect@lemmy.world avatar

Personally I don’t use Usenet, I thought its location or some type of blocking by the ISP could be related to the problem, I think you are right and it must be a problem in the server side.

I’m wondering what will happen if the US closes the south border…

Seem like a christofascist campaign milestone the thing about closing the south border, until reichwingers stop living into the echo chamber of their congregation…

Pornhub shuts down in Texas... and predictably, VPNs benefit (mashable.com)

From the article: “Unsurprisingly, this skyrocketed searches for the best VPNs. According to a SlashGear report sent to Mashable, searches for “Texas VPN” jumped by 1,750 percent in the past day. It also spotted a 1,600 percent increase for the phrase “How to access Pornhub.””

Nevermind I asked to the “AI” it’s like 25% to 50% of zoomers doing OF, but maybe addicted to porn there are more than selling it.

PoliticallyIncorrect ,
@PoliticallyIncorrect@lemmy.world avatar

I don’t dude, never thought that way but now you mentioned it maybe I should. in some years people instead of asking someone else for their Facebook, they will ask for their OF LMAO.

PoliticallyIncorrect ,
@PoliticallyIncorrect@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah gone too far about 99%, it’s just like 25% to 50%…

PoliticallyIncorrect ,
@PoliticallyIncorrect@lemmy.world avatar

Good luck mate 👍✌️

PoliticallyIncorrect ,
@PoliticallyIncorrect@lemmy.world avatar

According to the “AI” it’s 50% the zoomer population who sell porn on their site, it doesn’t say if there are more women or men, but yeah 50%.https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/58dcdc5d-16c2-4a77-9224-51a4f0147ecd.png

Apparently I got the “AI” hallucinating…

PoliticallyIncorrect , (edited )
@PoliticallyIncorrect@lemmy.world avatar

Accordingly to the “AI” which isn’t my browsing history suggest every 1 of each 2 zoomers it’s doing porn at OF. So I guess more of 50% are porn addicts but let me check.

Edit: no answer.https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/d10fdc73-eb73-4ab7-8743-54f23ee8ec2e.png

I have no time to search about things I don’t give a flying fuck, so I just use “AI” to speed up the process.

Probably the worst problem it’s not about physical repair but about software programmed obsolescence… and it’s not about the govt but about greedy corps which want to sell you a phone per year.

Maybe the govt should make them extend the software support for at least 5 years or something. But I believe they wouldn’t at the end they take advantage of it, more sells more money for the govt.

Not bad at all, let’s hope they don’t do anything to deliberately make you have to buy new equipment.

PoliticallyIncorrect ,
@PoliticallyIncorrect@lemmy.world avatar

I’m not saying you are a liar mate, but in my personal use of a smartphone, I can’t use an iphone, there are so many things I do on it what I can’t do in an iphone. So I prefer to buy a new cheap android smartphone every 1-2 years instead of a 5 years device with I can’t do 50% of the things I do on Android,

The main reasons I don’t use apple it’s cos, you can’t use ADB(or similar) and you can’t install anything outside the app store out of the box.

In my personal POV and for the things I do with my phone(run my business they way I like le to run it) I prefer to buy cheap Chinese smartphones for around 100 bucks each 1-2 years instead of spending 700 bucks in an iphone with a can’t do 50% of the things I do on Android.

Watching a video or reading an article by a human isn’t copyright infringement, why then if an “AI” do it then it is? I believe the copyright infringement it’s made by the prompt so by the user not the tool.

PoliticallyIncorrect ,
@PoliticallyIncorrect@lemmy.world avatar

If you quote the sources and write it with your own words I believe it isn’t, AFAIK “AI” already do that.

PoliticallyIncorrect ,
@PoliticallyIncorrect@lemmy.world avatar

If you read a book or watch a movie and get inspired by it to create something new and different, it’s plagiarism and copyright infringement?

If that were the case the majority of stuff nowadays it’s plagiarism and copyright infringement, I mean generally people get inspired by someone or something.

PoliticallyIncorrect , (edited )
@PoliticallyIncorrect@lemmy.world avatar

I know AI it’s just a marketing term I usually use quotes when I write the AI term, but anyway it isn’t what real human intelillence does too?, you don’t create things from nowhere, usually people use different sources to accomplish a conclusion, I believe it’s exactly what “AI” does, just it speed up the process, instead of spending 30 minutes reading information about a random stuff, you just ask to the “AI” and it does it in 20 seconds, if you need instant answer to something I think it is pretty useful.

I know it doesn’t think by itself but it speed up the process of searching objective stuff on the internet.

For example for psychological research it will suck of course but to speed up searching for polls made to the population it could be pretty useful.

Not bad at all but expect lower birth rates as feminist ideology spread around the globe.

Lemmy helping Lemmy World - Youtube without Ads

I use Firefox and the uBlock Origin addon as my default browser setup. It works great…except for on youtube. I used to use it happily for youtube with all Ads blocked, but two recent youtube changes made me have to use a different browser and extension, just for youtube....

PoliticallyIncorrect ,
@PoliticallyIncorrect@lemmy.world avatar

For YouTube WO ads on desktop I use Brave, on mobile I use NewPipe, everything going smooth for years.

Linux distro for selfhosting server

So I have been running a fair amount of selfhosted services over the last decade or so. I have always been running this on a Ubuntu LTS distribution running on a intel NUC machine. Most, if not all of my services run in a docker container, and using a docker compose file that brings everything up. The server is headless. I...

If someone it’s interested at reading about the effects of TV and internet into modern culture you should read a book named Homo-videns by Giovanni Sartori.

Beside the book, I believe the boom of ADHD diagnostics could be related to modern technology use and its effects on brain development, psychological and emotional.

A fucking cheap 100 bucks Chinese phone can do better than shitphone… can’t understand why people still buy these expensive calculators nowadays.

Edit: I hate when big crops decide what I can do with a device I bought and what I can’t. If I pay for something it’s supposed I can do whatever I want/can with it. They are getting my money as exchange.

The good thing it’s I can avoid buying their shitty ass products… my money my choice…
