Hey OP, comunistm is great on paper because it doesn’t take into consideration the human nature. Humans are corruptible, no matter who, and even the best of us would be corrupted when it comes to someone they love. This alone breaks the comunist stance because you can’t have fairness when one human is responsable for managing/governing. Comunism would work if there was no hierarchy between humans, no one more powerful. Maybe if some aliens come or if some AI evolve enough to govern, but that’s is not today’s world

Edit: I do think the US level of captalism is horrible. Maybe begin with just SOME socialist policies, like free healthcare and univesities, that would already improve so much the lifes of americans

When I was 13 I saw a book called “The eight” in the library and liked the summary. It was a big “adult” book and I thought at the time It will be boring to read big book like that. Well, I finish it in a week and loved it so much that books became a passion. One year later I had read all Sherlock Holmes collection of stories and books and even Lovecraft stories, which is not easy for a 13yo to understand. That book made me an adult reader and I still love it to this day. Which we had a tv series about it.

Whats the best budget friendly way to transfer vhs tapes

Hiya, pretty much the title. I have a dozen tapes I want to backup before age takes its toll. My basic idea after watching some videos online is to buy a hardware based upscaler that can interface with my vcr then throw that signal to a video capture card and record on my computer. I’ll go with name brands to avoid problems...

I bought a little cable from china (I think aliexpress) It was cheap, like 10 dolars, and had a very simple software attached. That was it. Did a perfect job. It’s a very simple process

Look I had a similar experience and everytime I end a relationship I take the person out of my life. I know you want to look his social media, to send emails and messages, and you will if you don’t cut it out. Delete and block is my first and only recomendation. There is nothing anyone can do for you now but it will last a lot less if you block and delete, from everywhere. At the beggining when our mutual friends would try to talk about him I would cut them off “That’s the past, lets change the subject”.

I know you want to know about him and talk, but don’t. If you do that next week will be a lot easier.

Man the american propagand had a lot of people convinced that living there is the greatest thing ever. Don’t get me wrong it’s an amazing place for some things but for the average joe is hell. Student loans? Pivate Health care? Private system to do your taxes?! Man you guys strugle so bad.I don’t have to pay any of those. And the wrost is that the product of your hard work, all the new tech and science, is provided much cheaper and safer for the rest lf the wrold, like meds that are free in europe and tech that can’t abuse it’s powers of monopoly. How to deal with Ancient aliens in the workplace?

Two of my coworkers frequently mention shows like “Encounters” or “Ancient apocalypse” or whatever. I’m not the best at debating or forming arguments against these though I do feel strongly that bold claims require better evidence than a blurry photo and an eyewitness account. How do you all go about this?...

I used to get annoyed too but then I started doing this! I NEVER disagree or challenge their opinions I just always agree with everything and answer “wow! really?? I don’t watch much tv, then what ?!!” They LOVE me, and helped me a lot at work being friends with thos guys.

It’s imoortant to focus on the silliness, they are not hurting anyone let them talk nonsense and have fun
