You're partially right. Gavity has infinite range, so a distant star does exert some force on you. And that force is present regardless of other gravitational fields like the Earth or Sun. However it's many orders of magnitude weaker than the force from the Earth and Sun so it's pretty much irrelevant.

LostXOR ,

Technically the photon is being absorbed and re-emitted inside the star, so it's not exactly the same photon.

LostXOR ,

Wow that's terrible. Probably would've been a good idea to stay clear of the drop area, I wonder why they didn't do that.

LostXOR ,

I'm being serious. I don't see why they couldn't have waited under cover for a few minutes until the packages had landed.

LostXOR ,

I've always found that strange. I guess a kilogram is a lot closer to "human scale" than a gram, maybe that's why they picked it.

LostXOR ,

As a KSP player I use megameters all the time lol.

LostXOR ,

I'm still using my email from before I was 13 (don't tell Google).

LostXOR ,

Yeah, I'd think it would be more cost effective to record the API requests the apps send and simulate those. No way the servers can tell the difference (unless they update the API or something).

LostXOR ,

Ah yes, using AI to solve problems with AI.

LostXOR ,

Screw calculating values for variables, just initialize it pointing to a random memory address and get a value for free! (Assuming your program doesn't segfault).

LostXOR ,

Looks like the backticks in the program messed up the formatting a bit, here's it with fixed formatting.

(=<`#9]~6ZY327Uv4-QsqpMn&+Ij"'E%e{Ab~w=_:]Kw%o44Uqp0/Q?xNvL:`H%c#DD2^WV>gY;dts76qKJImZkj

Not that it's any more intelligible. :D

LostXOR ,

I just grabbed the original program from Wikipedia and put it in a code block.

LostXOR ,

You can, but it takes a considerable amount of force.

LostXOR ,

No compiler optimizations? How unfortunate.

LostXOR ,

What a mean thing to say! I have been inflamed.

LostXOR ,

They're gonna have a bad day if they ever decompress the EXE. ;)

LostXOR ,

Yeah, free built in 5G hotspot technology for only 217 vaccinations? Sign me up!

LostXOR ,

Don't forget about Nb people too! (niobium)

LostXOR ,

Yeah there's definitely some sort of major outage going on. Google Play Store is having some problems for me currently too.

LostXOR ,

Once something is on the internet, trying to take it down will only make it spread more. Especially on a site like GitHub where forking a repo is built-in functionality.

LostXOR ,

I wouldn't be too concerned about that. Annual hydrogen production is around 120 billion kg per year, which corresponds to about 1.08 trillion liters of water. We use about 4 quadrillion liters of fresh water total each year.

I have a lot of respect for Valve for making Steam have such good Linux compatibility. I still haven't found a game I couldn't run (though I don't play a ton of games).

LostXOR ,

It's hard to describe, but almost sort of a metallic taste? It's weird, maybe I'll go take a sprint later and try to better describe it.
