I’m no Mr beast fan, but the dystopia you feel isn’t his fault. It’s the fault of our society. CGP Grey is personally painful to me. He used to be a no-nonsense education youtube legend, but in the last few years he’s just maximised clickability - even going thorugh his whole back catalogue and changing titles and thumbnails.

For example, he made a great video about generative adversarial networks ~5 years ago but now its titled “How machines like ChatGPT learn” - despite coming out before GPT.

Sadly I don’t think boycotting clickbait channels is a solution at this point. First, because almost every Youtuber does it. Second, even if you boycott it, it will remain a shockingly effective strategy. Case in point, after installing this extension I was shocked as to how little I wanted to click on videos - clickbait works.
