I kind of miss sometimes how in the old place, random celebrities would sometimes pop up in my mentions (even some of the ones I didn't know were celebrities and had to look up) 🤪

I often have a very different idea of who is a celebrity than most people have.

Examples: that physicist whose books I've read, the managing editor of that scientific journal I've heard of, that one (more than one actually) stand-up comedian that no one has ever heard of, that obscure author whose books I love, et al.

I wonder if that's an autism thing?

A fair number of mutuals from the old platform are now mutuals on here. I'm really glad about that, but I still miss some of the ones I remember from before who aren't here yet. I wonder how the missing folks are doing sometimes.

@AlisonW @actuallyautistic Yeah. I've probably searched for hundreds (definitely at least dozens) over the years. I've found maybe a hand full at most, but for some reason that small number makes me feel successful in the attempt. Weird.
