They are actually bristly. Apparently they purr and make sounds similar to a guinea pig according to their handler, but the only noise we heard was the goose complaining that he wasn’t getting fed. They loved being fed romaine lettuce and enjoyed chin scratches as well.

Haha! That’s what my husband kept talking about when we saw them. In Peru they eat Cuy which is guinea pig. I have never tried it, nor do I really want to but my husband is ready and willing to eat any exotic animal…

Hi all, this is my first post on Lemmy so sorry if i break any rules. Im looking for a party for play through BG3 for my first run. I have kept myself spoiler free and will start playing on release date. Would anyone like to join? My time zone is BST/GMT+1 and id play mainly in the evenings after work....

Hi there. I know beehaw and lemmy world aren’t federated, however there is a BG3 community on lemmy.world you might want to try if you don’t find what you need !baldurs_gate_3

You would probably need to make an account on lemmy.world or any of the other instances that can access it. Lemm.ee has open registration afaik and can access both instances (beehaw.org and lemmy.world).

My husband and I have been playing through the early release, trying to figure out what classes to play. It’s so far a lot of fun and we are excited for the full release. I hope you find what you are looking for and enjoy the game!

Biometric data and food shopping habits. Share this to health insurance companies and they will come up with reasons why not to pay for certain health conditions. That’s my guess. Dangerous territory.

I don’t believe that credit card companies can see individual itemized groceries. Please correct me if I am wrong. I was thinking that Amazon having information as a direct connection to your food purchases (and general nutritional value thereof) would give more details into nutritional habits that could be linked to medical issues. Ex: products with a lot of sugar for diabetics, products high in sodium for persons with high blood pressure or heart failure, etc. With the more detailed information to be potentially shared with third parties, if it was a health insurance company, I am sure they would gladly use that information not to pay for certain medical treatments that they would usually cover using non-compliance to diet as an excuse.

Right now mod tools are minimal. Appoint and remove mods, ban user, remove/restore post functions. Depending on the size of your community you might want other mods to help, preferably in another time zone. Whenever a user reports a post, you will see a flag to address it. Not sure about the status of mods tools in apps atm, so I check multiple times a day through the original instance website. That’s about all I can help you with. Goodluck!

A really silly question about lemmy instances I believe

Hello folks! I created the MetalVinyl a few days ago and was just having a look on some other instances (I am on lemmy world and the sub was also created there - I believe?). Weirdly if I head over to lemm.ee or beehaw.org and try to find it, it’s not showing up but I can see other subs from lemmy.world? Did I do anything...

Someone from the instance you are logged into must sub first. Until a singular user from a instance subs, you won’t see it auto populate. If you want to be the one to initiate it, login on the instance you want to see the sub using your web browser and use the search function. You may have to search by !community. Sometimes there is a delay in the search, so give it a few seconds.

I see it just fine when I clicked your link. I am guessing it has to do with the growth/user load of Lemmy.world. Hopefully the instance mods will be able to sort it out. For shits and giggles, create an account on a smaller instance and then visit it from there. I have a few accounts spread out amongst instances (started exploring the fediverse a few weeks ago to see how things work). I have been having trouble on my lemmy.workd account last few days, so I have played around on the other ones and don’t have as rough of a time accessing and posting. Will eventually go back to the lemmy.world account when things improve. Just a matter of time.
