This is the right road to go down for the CFPB, but my god, they’re popular with workers because workers are so desperate for money to survive on a day-to-day basis that they are taking voluntary pay cuts just so they can buy groceries for the week because they have too many immediate expenses to wait for the next paycheck since the previous one went to bills.

And the Federal minimum wage is still so far below the poverty level that you might as well be dead a lot of the time because you’re going to either starve or be eating out of dumpsters.

No, extirpation is a local extinction. This species does not exist elsewhere. It’s not in any gardens or greenhouses. All we have left, essentially, is its DNA. You’ve already been told that.

Or are you claiming as long as we have a species’ genetic material, it isn’t extinct? Because I’m not seeing too many mammoths around these days, but we still sequenced their genome. I’d say they’re not extirpated, I’d say they’ve been extinct for thousands of years.

I would say a better option would to be stores only selling local (or at least regional) produce when it’s fresh and local produce that can survive the winter without spoiling when it isn’t. And no, don’t make this the responsibility of the consumer. Don’t even give the consumer the option of buying kiwis grown in Chile when it’s February and they’re in Chicago.

I love it too. I don’t know Norwegian, so I have no idea how that version works, but I am really impressed that they made a very funny English-language comedy in a country where English is, at best, someone’s second language most of the time. I realize many Norwegians speak very good English, but it’s still impressive.
