To my fellow #Neurodivergent people: Am I the only one not happy with the turn the Harris campaign has taken, to calling Trump and his cohorts "weird"? I'm not thinking about whether it insults him/them or not, for that I don't care. I'm thinking of all of us who were ostracized and bullied for being "weird". Or even people who were just called weird because they came from a different culture or whatever. Or #LGBTQ people.
Are we not seeing people that support inclusion and tolerance take on the tactics of our bullies, lowering themselves to their ways, validating them? Are we not seeing us being lumped together with the likes of these people? Am I overreacting? Should this behaviour be called out? I am seeing myself in the minority here so I need to know if I'm wrong about this and just being oversensitive.
For the record I support Harris and AOC but I didn't like this.
God I hate politics.

Everyone is entitled to their views on what is happening in Palestine/Israel. At a minimum however, you should know and understand what international law requires when there is an armed conflict. Yes... there are RULES for how to fight a war. Many lay people do not know that. @fulanigirl @blackmastodon Sadly, we watch leaders go against these laws & the only consequence is sanctions, at best. Even knowing about the laws of war doesn’t give much hope when invaders still hold the international votes in security for the country they’re invading, & colonizers are sponsored to gut what’s left of remnants.

@fulanigirl @blackmastodon I think that’s exactly where we’re headed. I’m an optimist, but a logic based one. Have you looked at the US judicial system? Current political state? We are totally corrupted. We may be engaged in war before our citizens start a revolution, but there’s no way America’s becoming just until the whole place comes crashing down. The law makers are breaking laws in our faces, without consequence. There is no law & order.

@fulanigirl @blackmastodon Nope. So you’re aware. Great. Most aren’t, by design & it will get worse as our education gets gutted. Our elections are almost gone. We were 1 person away from never having elections again. Now those GOP in battleground states are changing election laws. 🤦‍♀️ Its not people not caring about others, that’s a symptom. This has been manufactured over many decades of capitalism. It’s lobbying & insider trading. Who’s thriving?!?

@fulanigirl @blackmastodon 👀 Yeah. My gramps was 1 of the Hollywood 10! I grew up terribly abused, with addicts & homeless. I’m a disabled single mom in SoCal! I’ve survived 50+ years on hope. I know all about people laying down & dying! My family has generational trauma from this political disaster of a country! I do not have hope for america as it is! And I won’t lie down & die because of it either. My hope is for revolution!!
