what would be a funny thing to teach my 5 y/o niece?
I’m visiting extended family for the first time in a long time, and one of my nieces has reached the impressionable age where she keeps mimicking things that she sees me do. what’s a really funny but fairly harmless thing I should teach her to do?
Is "food" a social construct?
Hear me out. There’s nothing innate to an object that makes it “food”. It’s an attribute we give to certain things that meet certain qualities, i.e. being digestible, nutritious, perhaps tasty or satisfying in some way, etc. We could really ingest just about anything, but we call the stuff that’s edible “food”....
You can create matter.
You just find out you are living in virtual world (simulation) and was grant permission to freely create matter. You can create anything, as long as you know it. The admin use you as test subject and see what happen if you have that such ability....
Question about Lemmy front-end and feddit.de
feddit.de has been giving “Server error” for some time but I read that the server is still working when using a Lemmy app. Tried the Photon front-end today and choosing feddit.de as instance....
