More than “with Linux” you should indicate how much do you expect to spend here, it’s not about the OS, it’s about what kind of headsets you want (what features).

Aradia ,
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

Well, then I can’t help, I normally always get those that cost more than 200 USD, they have it all (Bluetooth + dongle) and with high quality (+ noise-canceling). Mines are WH-1000XM4 if you are interested, and I’m very happy with them, in the past I had Bose QuietComfort 35 and Sennheiser Momentum M2-AEBT and I would still get Sony WH-1000XM4 as it is smarter with many features and quality.

I use virt-manager GUI to control KVM easily, but you can control anything easily with virsh command lines. I dislike VMware and VirtualBox, neither needed. Also, on terminal client virsh you can do much more configurations than just with virt-manager.

Aradia ,

Temple OS has no virtualization.

Aradia ,
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

For just two VM, any Linux distro is enough, virt-manager to easily run those VMs up and done. The default network will allow them to communicate between their NAT. Proxmox sounds too many complications for just some testing or development stuff.

Aradia ,
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

But Proxmox is a big web interface app with many packages, right? virt-manager looks much easier than installing Proxmox.

“life sentence in prison” means he is sentenced for life, so if he gets alive again he would be still with that sentence that is for life. It’s not a “sentence until death”.

Aradia ,
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

But we are talking about sentenced to prison, not sentenced to death.

Aradia ,

I doubt he has more money for stuff like this.

I would prefer to get it for x.org before anything about Musk, he sucks, and I don’t want to know anything more about him.

Aradia ,
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

The game sucks, and they can’t fix it by just replying bad reviews… what a joke… they need to add vehicles, less loading screens and better role-play immersion, with interactions that make sense. Now it’s too late to “fix it” after charging 70 euros for standard edition and calling it “next gen game”.

Aradia ,
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

I hope mods can make it more fun, but with so many loading screens… it’s crazy… I don’t even like the ship fights, it’s boring!!

Aradia ,
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

I enjoyed a lot with Skyrim, the mods made it even better, and I replayed the game with many mods which adds more skills and realism, smarter NPC… I will wait now for a Starfield sale to be less than 20 euros and if the mods fixed the boring shit then I will buy it, but like an India game, this can’t be called AAA when it’s worse than 10 years old games.

I would block even more services from Microsoft, why not. Go to other git sources.

The Unity Desktop Environment an Underrated Masterpiece (unityd.org)

Why is the unity is underrated when its what i use right now with Ubuntu Unity and its actually really great experience for my 2021 HP Stream 11 Laptop and i hope you all to share your experiences using the unity de in Debain Ubuntu Arch Fedora Gentoo Opensuse Etc thanks for your Amazing community my Wonderful Friends

I still think KDE is a much smarter desktop environment and much more light or fast. I never liked GNOME 3 and Unity had many performance issues in the past. I also tried GNOME 3 recently and still, I needed many plugins to make it good and usable and was still lacking much stuff, while on KDE works all perfectly. I’m waiting for Plasma 6 now. :D

100% vanilla distribution challenge

what does this consist of? Well, it’s easy, whenever you install a new distribution of Linux, don’t customise anything, nothing please!! Out of the box experience, you may install software but that’s all. And if you are already using a customised distro, then delete the .config file and reboot, but please be careful and...

Aradia ,
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

What’s the goal? This looks silly.

Aradia ,
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

I already saw many issues with PopOS, I think they aren’t really that good at Linux and that’s why it’s messed up, you probably uninstalled most of xorg tools. Try Linux Mint, is more stable and serious.

Aradia ,
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

I don’t have any issue with Arch, everything works. But when I try other distros, they are mostly messed up.

Aradia ,
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

Many distros do their own packaging on their repos, adding dependencies and custom-builds with custom configurations, and this often breaks my OS. On arch, this doesn’t happen to me. What’s your experience?

Aradia ,
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

Yeah.

Arch also does its own packaging on its repos.

I know, I said “custom-builds with custom configurations”, I mean the custom configurations many distros add.

I also feel like Debian is very clean, but I still miss the big community under Arch, their wiki and AUR…

Once you learn about Linux, you go faster than any other noob. And that is very useful for programming/hacking jobs, faster than all those noobs with 0 knowledge about what is what.

But USA is also failing, Los Angeles was the city with most dense pollution.

forbes.com/…/the-ten-most-polluted-cities-on-eart…

“Los Angeles is the most toxic city in America, the tenth in the world, with the 7th highest PM10 air pollution levels at 57 PM10, and a light pollution score of 10,900 μcd/m2. Chicago and New York ranked in 21st and 26th place, respectively.”

And I think things went worse in 2023.

Ok, I found this: www.iqair.com/world-air-quality-ranking
Seem China still on all top.

It’s good to have a hint on what he changed, if the whole text completely or was just a typo. It doesn’t hurt…

If you don’t put the “Edit:” you will never know if it was a typo or a whole text.

The problem with Noctua is that you need a lot of space…

Aradia , (edited )
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

Imagine having a big Noctua on every component…

EDIT: I wanted a Noctua but with my two big GPUs, there is no space for a Noctua… and depends on which motherboard also includes water cooling tubes already built-in.

water cooling with space jpg

water cooling with space 2 jpg

Much more space on CPU (at least you see the RAM and other components), yeah, depends on how you built it. The PC can “breath”. When I said “you need a lot of space” I mean on the CPU, if your RAM and 2 GPU is all near there… all the heat gets concentrated.

Aradia , (edited )
@Aradia@lemmy.ml avatar

As I have more GPUs, inside the case it’s full of components and with a Noctua (if it even fills in) would be hard to “breath”. It’s not that difficult to understand…
