Last week on AustCrime where the highlight (although it feels very odd to say that) was reviewing Dice by Claire Baylis and getting hold of a copy of Death in a Lonely Place - 2nd in the Jake Jackson series although I might yet regret the one after the other thing.

This long book feel surprisingly short, which in itself is a certain kind of magic but not what these magicians would think of as "english magic".

#AmReading Even Greater Mistakes by Charlie Jane Anders -- actually, am done, except I haven't nerved myself up to read "Rock Manning Goes for Broke" yet. (The author's note: "this story is extremely violent, by design.")
This is an excellent collection of SF stories, which are touching and hilarious and sometimes terrifying, especially when they're topical. Her misadventuring duo Kango and Sharon reminds me of Robert Sheckley, and you can't say better than that.
