#WritersCoffeeClub 15. June: Is your work child or teen-friendly, or does it contain themes more suited for mature audiences?
Let me see: Prejudice. Racism. Familial treachery. Mockery. Bullying. Sedition. Heresy. Astrology. Necromancy. Satanism. Pre-marital sex. Implied cross-species sex. Misogyny. Kidnapping. Accidental and intentional injury. Death by misadventure. Torture. Murder. Dismemberment. Decapitation. Accidental and intentional cannibalism.
So yes. It is certainly child- and teen-friendly, for it contains themes more suited for mature audiences. We still read folktales and legends for our children, n’est-ce pas?
Same as any other writing, if something interesting is happening I want to cover it. If not, skip!
The intimate details of a sex scene reveals a lot about a character, in fiction and irl. How do they navigate the encounter, what mistakes do they make, what do they discover?
#WritersCoffeeClub - 3. May: Does your work include pictures, maps or other custom graphics?
Yes. More than 350 illustrations by various Norwegian artists, such as August Schneider, Erik Werenskiold, Theodor Kittelsen, P. N. Arbo, Hans Gude, Otto Sinding, Vincent St. Lerche, Adolph Tidemand, and Johan Eckersberg.
I know I have several ero rom authors and readers as connections, so here we go! I looked at my spreadsheet and I have a few books ready to go. 🙀 So I'm asking readers to let me know which one they'd like to see first.
@chas@elysegrasso there's an active community here, with many writing servers depending on what you write. I'm on a smut-focused server with a lot of writers and artists (smutlandia.com) and I have another account on wandering.shop, which has a lot of SF&F authors.
Hello! My name is Hayley-Jenifer Brennan and my WIP is called ‘Kingdom of the Moon: the Stroke of Midnight’! I'll be taking over the Asteria Press account this month to talk about my book.

In 1963, in a bid to settle a conflict with his English teacher, a 16yo student from San Diego sent a 4-question survey to 150 well-known authors or commercial, literary and science fiction.
"Did they consciously plant symbols in their work?" he asked.
Here are many of their wonderful answers, very much worth the read
I am in need of authors to interview for #WriteTalkWednesday. This is a LIVE event that happens at 6pm central on Wednesdays, then gets uploaded as a video and a podcast a day or so later.
Happy to talk writing genre fiction, neurodivergent authors, writing life balance, whatever as long as it's related to writing and publishing.
I have a question for #bookstodon I've been thinking about writing #cozy#mysteries
in line with the genres I already write. However, I write for fun and for my "happy place", I'm wondering if there has to be a murder in a cozy mystery or if I could deal with other crimes and if they can be written without all the frenetic/zany side characters? Is that a different mystery subgenre?
#WritersCoffeeClub Feb. 1st Tell us about yourself, published work, WIP or anything else people should know.

Finally getting back to writing Book 5 of The Silk Rope Masters. It's slowly coming together - all those green lines mean I'm happy with the chapter for the time being.
I had hoped it would have been completed by now but Cancer stuffed up my progress. I'm still trying to get used to the many side effects from radiation and drug therapy.
Cursed with clairvoyance, only Andra knows that the end is near for her employer and his traveling show. Can she save her costars? Can she even save herself?
Only if she can learn that not everything is what it seems...

Dec 18th: Will you read over the holidays? What book will you choose?
I'll probably read a few more short stories from the Gothic Fantasy collection or from one of my Library of America books. #AmReading@bookstodon#Bookstodon
I'm putting together my Christmas list for family. It's that time of year again. So... Send me some reading recommendations! Give me links to YOUR books, guys. I'm going to bookmark this and save it for later, so I can purchase stuff throughout the year as well. I want to support everyone.
I hope everyone will check out the comments, too. Let's all support and love one another and help each other when and where we can.
