Air Canada must pay damages after chatbot lies to grieving passenger about discount | Airline tried arguing virtual assistant was solely responsible for its own actions::Airline tried arguing virtual assistant was solely responsible for its own actions
See above for a !Canada article/comment section on this topic.
Air Canada is well known for the “how can we give less service for more money” mindset, and every other Canadian airline is better (WestJet is trying to compete for last place though).
If you use chatbots as your customer support agents, then you have to be responsible for any reasonable decision it makes. If you didn’t “train it” properly like you would a new hire then that’s on you.

Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn’t work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !canada
Sometimes it feels like the about pages/sidebars across the fediverse are underappreciated to the point of being underused, so I thought it might be nice to see what some most appreciate in those abouts/sidebars that are used....
I agree with the concise description, and I try to have that as the first thing in the sidebar. After that, I’m playing with the following, depending on how relevant each is:
A badge showing the total subscriber count, like this (click the badge for more info): https://lemmy.ca/post/5635462
I swap out the community name and play with the colors for each one
Community rules, as concisely as possible
Other helpful tips, little starter tips, etc.
I try to keep the sidebars clean and collapse as much info as I can. Here’s a guide to the markdown you can use.
If there’s something in one of the community sidebars that you want to replicate, let me know and I’ll share the direct source :)
The number of subscribers listed in the sidebar is only the number of users from YOUR instance that are subscribed. This might make you feel like a community is ‘small’ or ‘dead’ when it actually isn’t....

This also works for any links on shields.io, but I didn’t notice the Lemmy & Mastodon links before. Please share anything else you discover while experimenting. I’ll edit in more tips as people find them...

As of right now you can’t access the “front page” of each instance, so that would be a valid reason to retain several accounts (among many other perfectly valid reasons).
How you go to different servers is just by subscribing or following a link to a community hosted on another server. So !Canada is hosted on lemmy.ca instead of lemmy.world, but if you follow it on a web browser you might notice it takes you to lemmy.world/c/[email protected]
this way you haven’t “left” lemmy.world, lemmy.ca has no access to your credentials but you can make a post or comment there which is shared with lemmy.ca who posts it for everyone who connects to lemmy.ca to see.

I tried finding Art instances to subscribe to after leaving Reddit and only found too which were for psychedelic art and erotic art. How do I make an instance for just Art and other instances for other genres? Unless does one exist?
Just to clarify, are you wanting to create an instance (an entire server like lemmy.ca, lemmy.ml, lemmy.world), or a community (a subreddit like [email protected], [email protected], [email protected])? Instructions differ greatly depending on your answer.
