We'll start out with our introduction, via @isomataalum
Q1. Where are you posting from today? What is your most recent ""bucket list"" worthy achievement? Whether time, distance, route, surface, etc.
Kitsune Tails is OUT NOW!! Run, jump, and dash across a land inspired by Japanese mythology and untangle the love triangle between three young women on a journey of self discovery. Explore the complicated relationships between kitsune and humans through classic platforming action.
we're a small underfunded team with a majority queer developers, and while we're punching way above our weight class we need the support of our community if this game is going to be a success. please boost this post, and if you can afford it buy it on steam and leave a positive review on the first day (the text doesn't matter, only the thumbs up, so "i like gay fops" is totally valid as a review)
i also want to prove fedi is powerful enough to make an indie game succeed, so even if you're not personally that into the game, please boost this post? 🙏
i usually copy people's tag to put at the start of a post to indicate that it is a reply for people who read the post in a timeline. because the fedi software i use doesn't do that on its own. but it looks like i still had your username copied, sorry about that
The last livestreamed keynote of #FSCI#FSCI2024#FSCI24 is GREAT
It's Danny Kingsley and Leslie McIntosh on trust in scholarly publishing and scholarship.
Also, I love that their VosViewer figure is accompanied by a clear explanation of what the nodes and edges are, and what the network structure is supposed to demonstrate. IDK why every network visualization doesn't say that.
Now they are grouching about how Twitter is no longer a good place for @academicchatter Er, hello, we are right here on Mastodon! Well, some of us are... #FSCI24
@ChaosKitsune I don't know how, but it might be possible in some cases.
many git web frontends have a feature to view raw files, those can easily be loaded.
It should also be possible to load files through just http, but some people configure their browsers to only accept https.
git itself can use both http(s) and ssh. not every server accepts both.
So it's only possible in some cases, but I don't know how you'd make it work.
What keeps you from doing something server-side?
It should be easy to configure cron to pull the files you need from some git repos
OP photo of a family shadow plunged me into a wormhole. I realized shadows have mesmerized me my whole life. I may even prefer photos of my shadow & my family's shadows to normal captures. Whether shadow obsession is a neurodivergent experience or not, the delaying bedtime due to the creative impulse taking over certainly is.
Talking thru shit wit my grandparents tells me so much.
They both grew up in mississippi as kids thru segregation and shit.
They now old but that shit still sits with them.
Memories of being separated an shit even lynchings they seen . Fk ts so bad.
So I'm saying we need to listen to our elders to appreciate ts they been thru . #blackmastodon#BlackFedi#blacklivesmatter
@calixthe@blackmastodon damn so many innocent people murdered 🤦🏾♂️ I know my grandparents were just kids really during Jim Crow but they tell the stories like it was yesterday.
@cmdrDiscoCat@Haijo7@YoSoyFreeman Precisely. It makes an existing problem worse. Insignificantly for one person, but if everything was just "one person" we'd have less problems.
I was also recently "recommended" by my colleagues to get an AC. In this house, I could only get one of those inefficient combo units. ~700W which is inexcusable.
