Once we can get brain-device-interfaces implanted into us in order to sort of link our brains with a computer/phone, we probably won't get that information as pictures appearing in front of our eyes.
The information would probably be delivered raw into our minds. We’d just know what time it is, what the weather will be, who’s calling us and what the news are saying, without having to process the information.

Humans are similar to cancer cells
Cancer cells are cells that keep growing even when they are told to stop. They continue to grow even when they are a detriment to the body. They consume a large amount of resources and they have no regard for the future even though their unsustainable growth will always lead to the death of their host and to themselves....

This way, you can have a unique experience depending on the instance you are in, as there are instances that cater to different audiences. For example, the instance lemmy.dbzer0.com is for piracy, while programming.dev is for...

The Croc Hunter would have made a very powerful Animorph.
I’ve been reading the Animorph books and had a realization. So many people commented on how the Croc hunter would touch animals, just pick up something that was venomous or plain dangerous, and act like it was not a big deal. Yes, he always cautioned respect for living things, and the general idea was to show that these beings...
If we were created then the creators probably put fail safes so we can't see our own code.
Was thinking about this in terms of AI. As we create it we are probably going to put fail safes on it. So it would be reasonable then to assume if we were created the same thing would be programmed in us.

Having all your memories of something good wiped completely is better than never being allowed to experience it again.
EDIT: I don’t think I conveyed what I meant well enough in the post. I was talking about something like, say, reading. It’s my favorite hobby. If I was forced to never read again, I’d be absolutely miserable. But if I completely forgot about reading, there wouldn’t exactly be anything to miss.
