Joplin alternative?
I use Joplin and I do like it very much, but I would like to be able to at least view (not edit) the notes from web browser… Which is not supported....

Ok so the solution was this. Thank you @mouse...
I am currently using Bring! with my wife to organize our grocery shopping. I am looking for a self hosted alternative. I looked at the awesome self-hosted list and tried Specifically Clementines and of course Grocy. I like that Grocy also includes meal planning although the whole inventory management is too much for us. What I...
I have watchtower to keep my 50 production docker containers up to date. So far I have never had to resort to an old image since the new one was bugged but I know of the risks and dont have the –cleanup flag activated so I could easily spin up the old image if necessary. I also keep daily (mirrored) backups so I should be ok...
Hello, everyone. I am planning to set up Single Sign-On (SSO). I wonder if I can use something like Red Hat SSO with two separate domains. I have one domain for Windows AD and one for Linux IDM. My idea is to use Red Hat SSO so that both domains will be able to access the same services. For example, I have one Nextcloud...

Hello! I just installed jellyfin and wanted to access it with https. So, as I did yesterday for other apps (immich) in nginx proxy host I created a new proxy host, set the domain (jellyfin.mydomain.duckdns.org), set “create new SSL certificate”, “I agree on let’s encrypt stuff” and clicked save. Ports 80 and 443 are...
I’ve been researching NAS and am figuring out how one can play into my current home setup. There’s a lot I don’t know even after researching. Best I explain to clear things up....
I’m having a problem with one of the apps that interacts with something I’m hosting. Alternative apps aren’t having the same problem and neither is the webpage UI. Having purchased the app, I emailed the developer for some help and they said they didn’t know what the issue was and that it could probably fix it if they...
Hello selfhosters,...
I’m experimenting with running NextCloud (AIO) on a VPS with a B2 bucket as the primary storage. I want to compare performance compared to running it on my home server (esp. when I’m remote) and get an idea of the kinds of costs I’d rack up doing it....
I have been trying to get an instance set up with lemmy ansible for a while and I got to the last step but if I try to access the instance via the proxy container -which I think is the right one- I get a 502 error. I was looking in the logs and I got this error message...

Hi community,...
This is kind of hard to explain, but hopefully it makes sense. I don’t think a screenshot would help because everything “LOOKS” fine. But the characters in my Ubuntu VM console look funny. And I can’t drag my mouse across the text to select it. Nor cacn I right-click. The console works fine, and I can run commands. I...
ive anabled a port forward on port 80 (TCP/UDP) to my server, but i still cant acess it. i know its unsafe to just open a port like that, this is temporary, just wanna see if it works. ill put a reverse proxt and https on it later
ok, so i have recently took the plunge into self hosting with my raspberry pi. i got an SMB share Running with anonimus permissions (so anybody on the network can access the drive) and i install CUPS and the necessary driver for my Epson ET-2800 (btw download it via apt, i spent 4 days trying to get it to work from Epson...
I have a home server with tech illiterate users (Tailscale/VPN won’t be a solution for them), and I’ve been setting up a little blog to keep them updated about content and status. I had an idea of setting up a server status page that displayed the running state of various docker containers so they could easily see if...

I have a unused RPi4 (the 8Gig one) running DietPi. I did use it as a playground but ever since I am renting a Hetzner machine for (playground) stuff that I want web accessible, I don’t have particular use for the Pi....
