Appears to be Hetzner for now, wouldn’t be surprised if all VPS get affected eventually.
To mitigate the effort to maintain my personal server, I am considering to only expose ssh port to the outside and use its socks proxy to reach other services. is Portknocking enough to reduce surface of attack to the minimum?

Through the efforts of @dandroid, the lemmy-safety tool can now run via docker, which should help you run it without having to mess with python on your end....
As with many others, I’ve recently needed to do some purging of media in Pict-rs. What I also discovered is that due to an issue with either Lemmy, Pict-rs, or my setup, at some point Pict-rs was not properly removing files from the file system on a purge, leaving about 20GB of media orphaned....
