Hello, I’m planning a rather large trip later this year and have been searching for something to help me plan and organize. I’ve come across a few apps that are not exactly privacy friendly, like TripIt and Wanderlog....

Anybody see a 48 port managed 2.5 Gig ethernet switch for reasonable pricing yet? it seems like these are still either thousands of dollars or sold for chinese market without appropriate certificatiosn to be plugged into the north american electric grid. Any help would be appreciated (even better if it has 2-4 SFP+ 10 gig ports...
Are there any free/open-source TTS options out there that are on the same level as Google Cloud’s? I tried a lot of free ones, but they are absolutely awful and still sound like my Amiga did 30 years ago. With LLMs being available as open source, I am hoping there’s also a good TTS offering I just haven’t found yet.
I need some help with some new suggestions for what I want from my tiny homeserver, made up by a Raspberry Pi 4 8GB (passive cooling case) and an external hard drive. That server will not be reachable from outside my home network, if that makes a difference for suggestions....
I am not personally using these all-in-one solutions, but Casa OS has been posted frequently in this sub; Cosmos Server seems to have many more features than that.
Edit: SOLUTION: I had to use 127.0.0.1 and port 81 for the proxy host that points to the NPM admin page...
Hi, I got a tiny Lenovo M720Q (i5-8400T / 8RAM / 128NVME / 1Tb 2,5" HDD) that I want to set as my home server with the ability to add 2 more drives (for RAID5 if possible) later using its two USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10gbps)....

Hi all!...
Is there any possibility to get wireguard working to access my raspberry pi from outside my home? I’ve port forwarded the wireguard udp port and it doesn’t work… Likely because I’m behind a NAT. My wan public ip is like 10.x.x.x which is most likely a private ip. Running tailscale for now
Hello selfhosters,...
Hi there! I have an old pc that I use as a server (I use Ubuntu Server) and I would like to add a NVIDIA 1050 to it (for jellyfin and guacamole)....

Heya, so I have now recently set up a bunch of different services on my debian server. Wondering if anyone has any suggestion to any applications I can host to view disk usage - cpu/gpu performance, fans, etc etc… basically a nice and clean UI over the hardware. Already working on setting up a homepage for viewing the health...
I’m setting up a jellyfin server, and want to access it on the internet. I created a xxxxxxx.duckdns.org address for it. I have installed caddy with duckdns addon (first installed regular caddy, then overwrote /usr/bin/caddy with this custom caddy). My caddy file is as follows...
I’m wanting to create a centralized repository to keep base images of operating systems to be installed on new laptops or workstations bought/used in my household with my local CA already installed, configured to authenticate with my local FreeIPA instance, network configurations already configured, etc....
I just installed a mesh WiFi network in addition to my ISP-provided router that could barely reach upstairs. I had some locally hosted services set up as per Mediabox. All containers were set up with my machine IP(?) 192.xxx.x.xx and were working great inside my network, which is all I wanted to do while I’m learning. I...
Last time I posted a full writeup on my lab (The before before this) there was a lot of questions on what exactly I was running at home. So here is a full writeup on everything I am running, and how you can run it too
With jitsi meet now requireing registration (something I do understand, … but I just happen not to have a google, MS or meta account), I am looking at selfhosting a jitsi meet for personal use....
A little celebratory post between releases. My docker image reached 0.5mil pulls. Not sure how indicative of the user base, but happy nonetheless ☺...
Hi all, I have a very simple homeland which consists of just one thinkcentre mini pc. I don’t really need extra storage at this moment, but I think adding another disk for redundancy will be nice....
i have a collection of media i want to share on a request basis, i.e give specific people access to the full collection on request, but i’ve never hosted any service open to the wider net, so i’m quite wary of any potential risks, mainly getting a letter from my isp for uncommon data usage or opening my network to any...
I have a spare Z69 4K Android TV box here and no use for it at the moment. It served for a few years as exactly what is was sold for, later I flashed Kodi on it for a while and after that it served as a WFH RDP Client for another while with Armbian flashed on it....
