Hi there good folk,...
I spent all day today trying to get the routing to work correctly between Tailscale, Nginx and Adguard....
I’m currently researching the best method for running a static website from Docker....
I’ve picked up an eink Android tablet, which is awesome. However I have plenty of ebooks I’ve purchased over the years on places such as Humble, and I was wondering whether there was a self hosted solution like Plex/Emby/Jellyfin but designed for ebooks....
I found an old notebook PC lying around and I’m wondering if it could be enough to run a few services like the arr suite, qbittorrent and pi-hole....
n00b question, sorry. If I had a desktop that could hold 4 HD and 2 SSD, could I turn it into a NAS? Could someone point me in the right direction if this makes sense?
I’m on at least 2 blocklists at this point for the crime of not having reverse DNS set up. I don’t know how rDNS works. No amount of reading Wikipedia is helping me understand what I have to do....
So everyone is talking about cloudflare tunnels and I decided to give it a shot....

Good day, friends. Since catching the self-hosting bug, I’ve set up a couple of Proxmox home servers with a bunch of services I enjoy....
I recently bought a domain from Porkbun (thanks to all of the comments on this post!) and I want to self-host some services myself. I currently have a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ and I’m not quite sure if it can handle these things:...
Does anyone knows of a device irregardless of it being sbc/mini-computer/arm/x86… that is capable of running 4k video....
I tried earlier today and I had no luck actually getting an instance running...
Hello,...
I dived into the selfhosting rabbit hole once again and again I am stuck at the hardware part. I’d like to start small-ish to make it realisable. I thought about a NAS (Openmediavault probably). First I wanted to do it on a Raspberry Pi with an external hard-drive but then I read USB connected drives are unreliable and so on....
Hi everyone,...
KVMs are unreasonably expensive and my work was about to throw this one in the dumpster. I just need to order some console cables first but I’m really pleased.
Pretend your only other hardware is a repurposed HP Prodesk and your budget is bottom-barrel
Edit: Big thanks to everybody who shared their advice! :) I’m very pleasantly surprised and will definitely explore all the options you guys provided, such as getting an additional router or configuring Tailscale. Again, big thanks to everyone!...
Edit, Solved in comments 👌...
