I’m planning out my next homelab when I move soon. I have the floor plans and it looks like the best place for my computer is not centrally located, so the Wi-Fi won’t be ideal. I’d like to run the cables a short distance so the router would be in a better spot....
My RJ45 standard a cable broke. I tried fixing it in but i cant align the clolored wires properly , because they all turn and twist when i try to put them into the clear plastic thing....

I have a self hosted HA deployment that hasn’t been updated in a while. I haven’t updated it partially because they made the boneheaded move of deprecating their YAML config in favor of GUI-only config, and partially because the developers are insufferable dickholes....
I currently have my Plex server open to the world. I realise that’s probably not best practice, so I’m trying to find a solution that can work for me....

Hello! I need a guide on how to migrate data from shared hosting to Docker. All the guides I can find are about migrating docker containers though! I am going to use a PaaS - Caprover which sets up everything. Can I just import my data into the regular filesystem or does the containerisation have sandboxed filesystems? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I host a server with few services running for my family and friends. The server freezes sometimes. Where the services stop responding. If I try to ssh into the server, it takes a lot of time (3 to 5 mins) for it to connect. After being connected, every letter I type takes 2 to 3 mins to appear on screen....
