I’m trying to set up a group so multiple users can share a folder. I created the group and a folder for it but I’m not what paths I should use for both. The result is that the user can see the group folder in the web UI but an error occurs after clicking on it:...
Hello everyone, I’ve been working on setting up a torrent/media server on an old PC. Everything works near perfectly. However, I’m encountering an issue where qBittorrent gets stuck at 0% progress and just says ‘Downloading Metadata’....
What the title says. I was looking into paperless-ngx but it seems to offer no built-in security. I’d ideally want some kind of encryption and if i enable remote access have some control over sensitive documents
None of my services are exposed to the public internet and are only accessed by myself through tailscale. One scenario, which still concerns me is “Away from home, access to none of my devices, need to use public/other computer to access files”....
My Nextcloud instance runs reasonably well on the server side, and my desktop and phone are able to render the web UI reasonably fast when I want to…but I also have a tablet with slow hardware and wifi that is just unusably slow with the Nextcloud web UI. Like, it’ll take multiple seconds to render the login page, but only...
As much as I adore paperless-ngx for its UX, I hate it for its tech-stack. Idling it already uses 300 MB RAM, when changing a few metadata fields on a document it easily spikes to 700 oder 800 MB. That’s insane for the work it actually does. Is there anything more lightweight? All I need is metadata management and a gallery...
On August 21, my Yunohost server, which I keep in my house, started warning we that port 80 was inaccessible from the Internet. None of my sites use port 80, so everything kept working, but I was concerned because I knew that my Let’s Encrypt certificate would fail to automatically renew if I didn’t fix the problem....
I want to use my raspberry pi as a “streaming stick” connected to my tv to stream my Jellyfin library and self hosted invidious instance (not hosted on the pi). Any top recommendations on the right setup? I was considering LibreElec, but was wondering if there are any other more modern solutions.
So I’m looking to build my own CM4-based NAS appliance. I figure that I’ve got the time to build it, and it’ll be cheaper, more powerful and more capable than an off-the-shelf appliance (such as a QNAP or Synology device)....
I have a self-hosted matrix-synapse server up and running on a Debian linux server, but before I open it up I want to at least get a captcha service in place to reduce spamming. The only module I’ve seen to handle this function appears to require setting up a Google recaptcha though, however I would prefer to keep all of this...
At my workplace we use a program called OfficeStatus to track whether someone is on, off, or WFH. Unfortunately, it’s losing support at the end of the year and we’re anticipating a windows update breaking it at some point....
I’m new to the selfhosted/homelab space and eyeing a used Dell Optiplex Micro system to experiment with. The unit has an i5-8500T and appears to support Intel vPro/AMT for remote management and KVM. This is interesting to me as I may not want to have a monitor and peripherals permanently connected. After substantial searching,...
I’m getting around to setting up and trying to use RSS for the first time. I like it so far, except for one thing, the time efficiency of it. When there is a new story picked up by all outlets I have to hit mark read 5+ times for near identical copy/pastes of the same story....
I have been in search of a legit caller ID option for my android phone and I can’t seem to find much info out there. Personally, I like to know who is on the other end of a phone number trying to contact me; especially catching spam callers. I tried the true caller route (I know, its not self hosted) and its good at what it...
