UV printed shell, new battery, button LEDs, and new screen....
As a big Zelda hater as a kid, I skipped the series completely. I’ve been going through to experience them all in order now. I really enjoyed the first two games of the series so I expected to like this one too. What I didn’t expect is was that it really is one of the best games on the Super Nintendo if not one of the best...
Skipping some obvious ones like SMB/Tetris....
You know when you want to play a game, but you just can’t find the time to play it. Well that was my long running excuse on why I haven’t played Crash 2 after all these years. But I finally found some time, so here is what I thought of the game....
This game came with my hand-me-down DMG I got for my birthday back in 2001. Thankfully I never made it to the final level back then, pretty sure I would’ve tossed the game out the window after losing 50+ lives. Looking for what I should play next, recommendations welcome :)
Some of us still playing OG DOOM to this day. The WAD community has been unbelievable.
This is a small project I’m working on for the gbscontrol. It functions as a remote to change saved profiles via wifi using a Raspberry Pi Pico W. With the addition of filters to the analogue pocket dock, I wanted to be able to quickly change presets without having to launch the web UI. When its ready, it will be fully open...
This video shows the process of doing #gamedev using other, larger systems to develop software for the #Atari 2600 and 5200 game consoles using a cross assembler. This example contrasts a cross assembler from Sorcim running on #Atari8bit and #S100 hardware. Enjoy....
Added a 3d printed shell and label
The project can be found here. It’s feature set is comparable to x7 including no reset saving, game id compatibility with hdmi mods, emulators, and a rtc. Can be built for under $100.
Rumor has it that it’s an RK3566 powered device, so systems before PSP, DC, and N64 will work fine, but those three will be a mixed bag.
I’ve been determined to finally beat Zelda II and determine that I would do it without save states and without a guide....
With exception of the Mister, all consoles have either been modded or repaired. Bonus, everything is automated through Home Assistant so it will turn on the TV, switch inputs, and turn on the console, all via voiced controlled.
Pictured above: A Japanese Model 1 Sega Saturn in Ryo’s room in Shenmue on the television, and a black North American Model 1 Sega Saturn I have.
It’s being a couple of weeks since I’ve finished this game and it does not get out of my head....

Just in time for the spookiest time of year, a game that features not just ghouls, but also ghosts as well. And spooky haunted turtles....
I helped for the battles and reading the dialogues but he did all the exploring by himself. He’s so thrilled, but also sad it’s over. Now I’m hesitant between Pokemon FireRed (he loves Pokemon but that a lot more text to read) or PaperMario TTYD (but we don’t have a switch for the remaster version). Any other ideas for...
Dragon’s Lair
Some retro arcade material in this fourth issue:...
