I still have my reddit account to look up local news. Over my time on reddit I joined several chat groups and over the past week I’ve noticed that people are being mass added to these groups. Even ones that have been dead for years suddenly have people posting and commenting on them. It’s very obvious that this is been done...

I wanted to major in physics when I went to college in 2013 (I’m 28 now), but had to drop out and have flushed out a lot of information. A lot of basic concepts are still there, but I’d need a lot of refreshers going back to like algebra lol. I’d love to get back in to studying in my free time, but I’ve completely...

So i have alot of ideas but im not sure how to express them but a short film seemed like a good start. the ting is it seems exspensive to get into this hobby becasue you need, props, a script, constumes, skills, etc....

E.g. If I were to share an image of a doggo on lemmy.world and then people from sh.itjust.works upvote it, will it count those upvotes? The answer to this one seems pretty easy to reason that it would be yes....

I imagine it would destroy the engine and the transmission, but it’s just a guess.

I’m not sure on the ins and outs of hosting/running a 3rd part reddit app, but since reddit is claiming these API charges are only for apps that pull in big numbers, couldn’t the app creators just make a bunch of versions of the app with a limit to how many users can access it?...

I’m just trying to understand. Erdogan in Turkey, Putin in Russia, Orban in Hungary etc… Why do these leaders still get so much support after all they’ve done? What do they exactly like about them?...

I know it’s bacteria, but where is that bacteria coming from? Why doesn’t brushing, flossing, mouth washing, or getting a deep clean at the dentist get rid of it entirely?

I’ve got a Garmin vívoactive 4 that I’ve been using almost daily for the last 3 years. Recently it’s started causing some irritations on my wrist (slight redness and dry skin). I’m assuming that it needs a really good clean but I’m not sure what’s the best. Dish soap and warm water? Or is there something better?

I feel like with rampant bot/AI posting the traffic into social media sites are being spoofed. And companies know this and allow it to happen because it will inflate the ad value and then the stock value. Is this true to an extent or is this taken into account?

As far as I am aware, grazing animals like cows or sheep poop in the same meadows where they eat grass, but presumably don’t have any problems eating the grass and pooping in the same space. But if humans would eat vegetables that they had pooped on, my understanding is that we would get sick....
