The singularly best shot we had at getting something to stick on Donald Trump. The one shot that couldn’t be stopped by a compromised US Supreme Court.
Fani Willis hired a person she was in a personal relationship with, for what at least the most important trial in the country right now, and maybe what will amount the most important trial in US history. The US has never had a court case like this before, especially in the context of these being state charges. Fani Willis hired someone who is not a constitutional law specialist, a criminal prosecution lawyer, or a RICO specialist, but rather, a personal injury lawyer, as in the kind whose billboards you see going down the highway. The kind of lawyer you would hire if you were in a hit and run. Fani Willis then proceeded to take several vacations with Wade, with no receipts to show it wasn’t Wade funding these.
There is no defending this on the part of Fani WIllis. This already represents such a miscarriage of justice she shouldn’t be allowed to continue to continue to manage what might end up being the most important court case in the modern history of the United States. Trump worked to steal the results of the GA national election. We have all the evidence we need in the public record right now. She’s done a complete disservice to the people of GA and to the people of the United States. There is no recovering and if she gave a shit about justice, she would stop defending her behavior and fix the situation, because this is so much more important than hers or her boyfriends professional or political careers.
This was the best shot at stopping a criminal from being allowed to take the presidency the nation had, and its been bungled before the trial even got going. And not minor a bungled, but maybe broken beyond repair.
