While I'm fully uncomfortable with the influence donors have over these institutions, I also feel like the handling of some of those hearing questions was catastrophic. Lady got maneuvered into giving them exactly the weak non-answer they were fishing for. It's bad all around.

Cue the legal bickering over what counts as “reasonable”. I think the definition is clear: the only reasonable price for medicine is the lowest possible price. And the only way to ensure that is to not award drug patents in the first place (at all, but especially if development was funded by taxpayers).
That article was very unclear. Are they knowing joining the Russian military or do they think they are getting a different job and being impressed into service?
The likelyhood that woman will find anyone to hire her is slim as the first thing many employers do is google your name.
And if you’d worked in the industry at all you’d know people rarely get hired to handle cash as an entry position. She’d probably be in the back doing prep/clean-up.
