This is something I’m wanting to bring up in our next union negotiations. Anyone working in the heat needs this ironed out before the next few years, as summers just keep getting worse. It’s ridiculous there aren’t laws for this yet.
Exactly. I'm adopted. I'm pro choice. But this isn't really the own it's getting implied to be. It really just highlights that statistics can support an argument, but you can't really make an argument based solely on stats.
Well, asking a christofacist conservative to think logically and empathetically vs emotionally and personally is like asking a rock to talk to you. It will never happen.
The traits that make a diehard conservative are counterintuitive to thinking in a macroscale; I literally dont think they are capable of it.
You mean treat genetics defects like the ones detailed in the article? Where the babies couldn’t breathe because of the defect, the hemispheres of their brain didn’t separate properly and there was no hope of life? How about ones where their brain stem is exposed and they’ll never live? Or the ones where the brain never formed at all? It would be great if we could find cures and treatment for these things. But it’s pretty damn hard to treat something so tremendously wrong when the babies die within days to hours.
