dogslayeggs , in Justice Department 'weaponized' bipartisan gun safety law to 'illegally fund' red flag laws, Republicans say

So it’s totally A-OK to put anti-LGBTQ+ laws inside Defense bills, but not gun laws inside gun safety laws?

uzziah0 ,

@dogslayeggs @JustAManOnAToilet
No. Each issue should be it's own bill/law.

dogslayeggs , in Bidens' dog Commander involved in biting incidents as White House says he's getting more training | CNN Politics

Some dogs don’t have the kind of personality suited to constantly being around strangers. It’s not a failing on the dog’s part, but maybe they should be kept in a quieter and less public setting. Much like some people.

STUPIDVIPGUY , in FedEx pilots reject 30% pay hike proposal, but a strike isn't imminent | CNN Business

Pilots already make plenty of money though

My guess is it's not just about the money.

bassomitron ,

I think that’s their point. They make good money already, so it’s like you said. likely about other issues.

nutbiggums ,

So does the CEO

TheGoldenGod ,
@TheGoldenGod@lemmy.world avatar

The current FedEx CEO makes almost 23 times what the average pilot makes, and that’s not including his company stock and options. And his FedEx shares of 0.037%, are worth roughly $23.97 million alone.

mark_dennis1199 , in "Last hope": Eager Germans are prepared to pay for weight-loss drug

I don’t understand why insurance and health plans are denying paying for Wegovy. They rather shell out far more money for treatment of complications and co-mprbidities related to obesity than pay for the drug now? It’s being penny-wise and pound-foolish.

southsamurai ,
@southsamurai@sh.itjust.works avatar

It’s still an off label use, from what I was told. That’s the excuse anyway, but it’s a common excuse for insurance refusals

mark_dennis1199 ,

Wegovy is indicated for the treatment of obesity. It’s Ozempic that’s being used off-label for weight loss.
