I’m just shocked at how bad that offer is, 6 dollars a month just for ad free browsing? Damn. All the other “benefits” seem completely worthless to me.
If Reddit wasn’t going downhill I wouldn’t mind paying to not see ads - if it helps keep the site running. But 6$/mo is very excessive for what is essentially a forum + link aggregator.
Disney+ for comparison isn’t much more expensive and I feel that I get a lot more value out of that, not to mention streaming isn’t cheap.
This reminds me of staying overnight at a friend’s house when I was a kid, and discovering a slightly sinister family habit, like cutting pizza with scissors or everyone drinking hot tea with dinner
I cut my pizza with kitchen scissors. My knives aren’t sharp enough and I don’t have to transfer it to a cutting board. And drinking warm water with a meal aids in digestion :D but I don’t do that lol
And that’s how we know this post was probably fake. Another point, in order to cram that box in, they would need to put in considerable effort. No. UPS. Driver. Is going to put this effort in.
Friendly reminder / public service announcement that those apps often store/share data that can be used against you if you live in a state with strict forced birth laws. Be sure to thoroughly read the privacy policy and if in doubt, go back to a paper calendar. Stay safe.
Hey, my first repost on lemmy! This is shamelessly lifted from r/pizza crimes a few weeks ago. And the top comment there was about gerrymandering too! This is a big moment for me, I think I’m officially a lemmian.
This is a pretty shit deal tbh. Ooohh ad free browsing and some free pngs you can tack onto your avatar or comments.
It sure is convenient that the second they kill third party apps they push a subscription model for ad free service on their ad riddled, barely functioning app…
Yep, I think you might have highlighted a bug, Certain it is happening in firefox , and is not present on the android app.Have learnt to ignore it , almost always my comment has been added.
Edit yep immediately clicked on comments open new tab and my comment is here where as it is still spinning in the other tab. So probably a bug rather than overload.
Full stop the best thing I did was talk to a pet nutritionist and getting a meal plan made for my boy. Super affordable, easy to make up in bulk and freeze each week - and honestly it feels good to feed my boy something that resembles actual food. Turkey, carrots/zucchini, rice and vitamin powder - all told about an hour each week to prepare, portion out and freeze; and I’m pretty dang sure it comes out cheaper than the dried stuff in the long run.
Another option is to read the labels of some of the premium refrigerated pup foods and get the ingredients from those without going to a pet nutritionist.
This is what my poor grandma used to feed the farm dogs in her area. It was the off cuts of meat boiled and deboned and served with grains and veggies. Looked like prison slop, but the dogs loved it, and it still seems more appetizing than dried pellets of “food.”
