Was in south Ontario, the sky was clear for about an hour before totality, and then about 15 minutes before, a big dark cloud came in and ruined it.

IKEA Family is a membership program, like grocery store memberships. The only real feature of the program was their 5% discount. But now, they are getting rid of it to focus on “New Lower Price offers”. I’m not holding my breath that their prices are going to come down anytime soon....

Yesterday (19/08/2023) everything worked fine. Today (20/08/2023) I can no longer login to Twitch using Firefox. I restarted browser and cleared cache. No change....

I unsubscribed from their mailing list and in short order received 3 more emails lol...

making me enter a special code and fill out forms and pay for the ‘deLuXe’ tax software because only that can handle the right forms...

Edit: sometimes there two pictures that are the same but the colour of the wall change. And you have to compare that to a black and white top down where you can’t see walls lmao

Friend gave me access to his Adobe account (I’m never giving Adobe money again), and it looks like they don’t even support Firefox. That means I’m not using even the one remaining browser-based Adobe service that’s left....

At least they got rid of the horribly designed all-in-one internet toggle, but this is still a pointless extra click. I have limited mobile data and disabling it helps with battery life. Stop being so pushy, Google!

So I was shopping with my wife today and I said “oh let’s see if my membership helps out.” So we went and added the same item to each of our carts, and to our surprise, the total was the same! I’ve been using Brave Search supplemented by Startpage for the past 2+ years. When I search for something, I want to get results for credible webpages, not a summary of unknown quality. I liked the previous AI inclusion because it was instant, didn’t take up much space, and I could quickly navigate to the websites referenced...

I was in a rush and I needed to pick up a quick snack that I could eat during class. I chose these Nature Valley bars which said they had ten bars inside. What I failed to notice is the tiny print at the bottom where it says 5 x 2, i.e., 5 packets with two bars....

Context: This is the second year I’ve been trying to hit 69% battery at 4:20 on 4/20....
