Income share isn't actually a good indicator of anything on its own. One would at the very least need to provide some sort of inflation chart and some sort of equivalent to a consumer price index. Like, it wouldn't mean much if they all had the same income if that income couldn't buy bread for example. not saying that was or was not the case, just using an example of how the given charts are meaningless on their own. That you provided them without even trying to provide context means you're unaware of this and are ignorant to the issue or you're actively misleading people.
There are people that choose to be homeless but there are countries where you have the right not to be homeless. In the country I live in (in central Europe) you can literally go to a facility that will give you a place to sleep and some food.
Also, to become homeless as a person that once worked is not that easy, you would have to deny multiple job offers (the state will go job hunting for you and present you with a few options). During that time you would still get unemployment money.
I currently live in Australia where with a 2 year trade cert your minimum wage goes up from $16 to $28, and I receive a fortnightly payment from the government that has just gone up to $917 with rent assistance while I’m looking for work, my only obligations are regular meetings with an employment services provider and recorded proof that I’m applying for 20 appropriate jobs a month. For comparison a full time job here can be expected to pay a minimum of about 52k a year.
While unemployed I also receive concession on public health services, discounts for pharmaceuticals, and various other social services.
Once I start work I can continue claiming payments up to the value of $1000 to assist with transitional costs, as well as being provided a stipend for new uniforms or equipment costs.
I think it’s just confirmation bias that stems from the meme. I’ve had four cats in my life: an orange tabby tomcat, a black tomcat, a white and orange girl and a grey tabby girl. The orange tabby tomcat was the smartest by a mile out of all of them and the grey tabby girl was the dumbest by a 100 miles. Orange and white girl is the second dumbest and the black tomcat second smartest.
But people aren’t gonna post their average or smart orange cats or their dumb non-orange cats on the internet because it doesn’t fit into a specific meme/sub/community. So now it seems like there’s heavy correlation, but there really isn’t.

This is pretty common in Hungary. One old homeowner doesn't want to pay the reconstruction fees, because they either won't live for so long, or doesn't think it would help and/or a good idea. One such case ended up in having to call the cops on an old man after he got so angry at the others for wanting to replace his beloved gas convectors with central heating instead, that he attacked the others and screamed constantly while being pinned down until the cops arrived. Others just really surprised why this is needed as "Viktor Orbán is getting cheap gas for us" (only in propaganda, but since Orbán's best friends own 80-90% of the media, none of them hear about it).
In my building, some apartments just couldn’t afford to do this. At the time, I was able to chip in, but lately I’ve been pretty broke so I wouldn’t be able to afford it right now.

I had a buddy who did 4 years of service (air Force I think) and came back with hearing damage. Personally, I’d rather not risk that for no real reason.
Heard many people from the army come back with hearing damage from operating a mortar. Who would have guessed that large explosions right next to your head would damage your ears? Also they aren’t covering hearing damage in their benefits plans because it’s too expensive.

Germany needs to do a lot more to go fully renewable, like all countries need to do. And the conservative government under Merkel has been desastrous for the expansion of renewables.
But claiming that the remaining nuclear power that was shut off now as sheduled would have been replaced by coal is a lie.
Also Merkel didnt decide to exit nuclear in 2022. The decision was made in 2002 with the plan to ramp up renewables.Then Merkel throttled renewables and exited the exit from nuclear power only to exit the exit from the exit two years later. As a result 6 Billion Euros in “compensation” was thrown at the nuclear industry and renewables were not put back on track but left at a low burn.
If we went with the original plan wed be mostly renewable and much cheapr now, but well conservatives and “liberals” always need to fuck things over in favor of fossil industries like nuclear.
