Maybe I’m just older and have been on the internet longer, but it doesn’t feel as much like the “early days” as it does feel like when I first came to Reddit after Digg died (without ever having been a Digg user; it just was a coincidence that I discovered Reddit because of the hubbub).
I’ve been online since 1990 tho. I was literally there for the beginning of the “World Wide Web.” The true Wild West of the internet.
Back before music piracy was a thing; because who’s going to download a 3-4MB file on a 14k4 modem? By the time you grab one song you’d have racked up such an internet bill you might as well have bought the single.
I remember spending all day downloading files from a Quake server because I happened upon a server running Team Fortress and had to download the mod. On a 28.8k dial-up modem. It was like 500MB or something.
Then of course when I get into the game, it’s on ctf_crosstheborder and was the most confusing thing I had ever encountered.
Marijuana is absolutely physically addictive as much as people want to say it isnt. Mind you im someone who smokes the minute they leave work until they go to bed. So im not here to push any kind of anti-marijuana view point, but i do think we as stoners should be honest. Everyone i know who stops smoking weed has two very common side effects.
They have a lot of trouble getting to sleep

I understand that this is a side effect of lack of REM but you cant say these aren’t physical withdrawal symptoms. Research is needed, but just because we all want it to be legal, doesn’t mean we should ignore the facts.

I mean it scientifically isn’t though. Physical addictions don’t just give you psychological withdrawals, they are physical. Your body becomes dependent on them to maintain homeostasis.

If it does, begin with lower amounts of coffee and cannabis than you would normally consume on their own. Then if needed, you can increase your dosage slowly.
Back in 2014, a study was conducted to measure the effects of mixing caffeine and cannabis on squirrel monkeys. The results of this study were published in the Journal of Neuroscience. (also described here)
The monkeys were given the ability to self administer cannabis whenever they wanted. All they had to do was to pull on a lever. When the monkeys were given low doses of a substance similar to caffeine, they seemed less likely to reach for the THC. But, when they received high doses of caffeine, they seemed to reach for that lever more often.
Then in 2018, a study led by Marilyn Cornelis at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine seemed to back up these findings. This time, the study examined the effects of mixing cannabis and coffee on humans. It found that the more caffeine people consumed, the less cannabis their body was able to metabolize. So, although small amounts of caffeine can help your THC go a long way – too much caffeine can lessen its effects.
Taking out loans via defi scripts and getting automatically liquidated is definitely a thing yes. Sometimes, they even get liquidated by bugs in said scripts. Remember though, it’s all crypto funny money involved usually with people who got in before it got manipulated to hell.
Hey, I know it’s been a while, but I just wanted to say that this meme wasn’t about attention whoring. I made this meme for showing that dopamine release you get when you get a notification from someone because you know it’s probably gonna be a pleasant conversation talking with them on Lemmy. I made this meme because everyone was talking about how nice everyone is on Lemmy at that time so I though this would show it.

Everyone loves candles. Some guys are just pointlessly insecure about candles being a “girl thing”. I’ve also known girls that love the smell of gasoline. People be what they are regardless of their lower bits.
