Trump is cancer. But having Van Gogh memes and so on rolling on the socials just few hours after he was almost shot in he head an some guys end up dining was quite a shit-show to look at.

Nevertheless to quote Trump regarding the victim of mass shooting: “Get over it”

TopRamenBinLaden ,

I dont know why this would be surprising. The man is a literal death dealer rapist who laughs at and mocks the misfortune of others. I wouldn’t ever expect any semblance of respect or sympathy towards him from the general public, not even for a second.

People are going to roast him every chance that they get, and I think it would be naive to act like he doesn’t deserve the treatment.

Miaou ,

God Americans are so sensitive, the only dead person in that story is the shooter. Donald will get over it

I still never got a clear answer on who shot the firefighter, he didn’t seem close to the podium

When did the GOP get so woke? Those cancel culture snowflakes can’t take a joke.

Klear ,

👂🔫👨‍🚀

Always has been

ZILtoid1991 ,

In fact, they were the ones that invented cancel culture. Even helped the forming of the annoying leftist callouts by accident (they just wanted to point out leftist/liberal hypocrisy, often for them to get away with way worse things, then leftists/liberals took it to the next level, sometimes they outright manipulate who should be the callout’s target to incite infights, destroy alliances, or just to see someone who’s “deserving” to suffer).

This one made my day. And I’m glad I scrolled back to find the coincidental poetry mentioned below and noticed the username 😆

Hello, sister

some_guy ,

Nice rhyme. Make it into a rap like those loser maga rappers but clowning on them. Actually, don’t. They are cringe.

Rhynoplaz ,

Huh. Didn’t even intend that, it’s like I’m a poet, but I don’t even realize it.

Someone should make a realistic version of this. Like they’re all obese, missing some teeth and the mother and father are siblings.

Honestly I got like 300 something on a progress photo and it sent my confidence to the moon. Prettiest I’ve ever felt.

I didn’t initially read the title and guessed it was “new world order beyond heavy metal”. Reasonably close I’d say.

Fun fact: you can download llama3, an llm model made by meta (which is surprisingly good for its size), and it’s only 4.7gb. A dvd can store 4.7 gb of data, meaning you could in theory have an llm on a DVD.

I still haven’t encountered any issues on Wayland on GNOME. X11 is unusable for me because it handles multiple monitors poorly, and everything just seems less smooth.

renzev ,

What do you mean by “handles multiple monitors poorly”? Is it something to do with scaling? The only issue I’ve encountered under X11 related to multihead is the inability to set different subpixel geometries for different monitors, but iirc wayland doesn’t let you do that either? Just curious what your usecase is

Xylight ,
@Xylight@lemm.ee avatar

I have mixed refresh rate monitors, and animations and stuff will use the lowest common denominator. So all animations will be in 60hz on my 144hz monitor, just because I have a 60hz secondary monitor. The biggest offender is moving windows around.

renzev ,

Ah, makes sense, thanks.

Strongman leaders appear when the majority want them, too bad the strongman has to destroy the system as it is to make a difference

minorkeys ,

I think it’s more that strong men leaders get backers when the majority want them. All kinds of leaders are out there at all times, people swap their support to whichever they feel like at any given time. So when times get tough, half the population will side with power concentration, primitive but simple leadership structures. The other half want power decentralized and consensus to be required, the agreement of the majority, not be left with obedience to authority, which eliminates the ability for consensus or agreement. Nobodies needs matter except the needs at the top.

It’s actually probably absolutely necessary that the GOP see Trump as sharing their interests. If you had to give up your power, you’d want to give it to whoever shares the most do your interests, so their exercise of power is more likely to benefit you. You wouldn’t willingly give to to someone whose interests were furthest from yours. And what an irony that Trump has convinced them their interests align. If we could break that assumption, people would find it much harder to hand over their power. But since Trump literally doesn’t care if he collapses America, he’s willing to give them things they want, regardless of the wisdom of it.

God the GOP are the fucking worst.
