AMD Rewards Product Verification Tool (pvt.sh) doesn't detect qualifying product.

I want to enter an AMD Rewards code and downloaded the AMD PVT from www.amdrewards.com/pvt.

However, once I enter my code, the program says:

<span style="color:#323232;">AMD PRODUCT VERIFICATION TOOL - Linux CLI
</span><span style="color:#323232;">v0.9.9.6
</span><span style="color:#323232;">
</span><span style="color:#323232;">
</span><span style="color:#323232;">System check did not pass.
</span><span style="color:#323232;">A qualifying AMD product was not detected in your system. Please install the qualifying AMD product and try again.
</span>

What can I do about that? Why does it not detect a qualifying product even though I clearly have it installed in my system as shown by lspci?

cmnybo ,

It didn’t work for me either. I contacted their support and they asked for a picture of the serial number on the box, a copy of the invoice and the code. They got it verified a few hours later.

I had that issue too, apparently the vendor gave me a code for the wrong piece of hardware, either way amd support helped me get the correct code that verified properly.

What does that script even do, other than running lspci and, presumably, misreading the output? Did anyone read it?

Apparently it requires some kind of account.

SPP ,

I had that issue too, after trying for a while I contacted support here and sent them a screenshot with the ouput of lspci.

The following day I got a new code that didn’t requiere using AMD PVT.

Hope this helps
