PSA: Bluetooth vulnerability and PS3 Controllers on Linux in 2024...
New desktop user here, when I try to watch a Discord stream or try to connect to a Parsec Windows host I get a lot of audio stuttering after a few seconds, leaving and joining the stream solves the problem but it comes back after a few seconds, have you found/solved this issue?...
My setup works perfectly with my old but gold RX580, the only issue is big picture: it recognize my controllers (SteamController or 8bitDo) but the buttons don’t work correctly (for example (B) doesn’t back but open a menu). I’ve tried to reset the chord or guide layout but nothing change.
Hey all, I want to upgrade the setup that I use on my RV. I use a Raspberry Pi 3 for basically watching videos and some retro gaming. I want to be able to play more resource-intensive games, although definitely do not require anything AAA in the highest settings - I’m talking about Starcraft 2, Shieldwall, TABS, Humankind…...
Question to help me increase my understanding on what’s going on in the Linux desktop stack. I’ve heard Gnome doesn’t support VRR while KDE does....
I’ve tried to install gzdoom both through the terminal and GUI and both times it returns the same error: _==> ERROR: A failure occurred in prepare()._...

Basically title. I saw a few reddit threads with this piece but wanted to see if anyone out here had any experience with trying to get Linux set up on this machine....
I already have the original Steam Deck and I’m considering the OLED model in the future. But I’ll consider the Claw if the Linux support is good. What about you guys?
I found my old CDs of starcraft and brood war, and managed to get them up and running, but everytime i exit the game - i3 stays on the resolution game used ( so it could even be xorg related ). Any tips on how could i set it to not do that
I have a Dell laptop with Intel and Nvidia GPU and Sonnet 750 eGPU enclosure with AMD card. Monitor is connected via USB-C to laptop....
I’ve ordered myself some parts to build a PC for Linux gaming. In the meantime, i’m deciding on which linux distro to use....
I built a PC for the family yesterday, and I’m hoping to get away with going 100% Linux. What makes me a little nervous is that Epic Games, GOG, battle.net, EA store, etc don’t officially support Linux. If I try using Lutris, or Heroic Games Launcher, or something similar to use those platforms, is there a chance my account...
I’m looking for a decent capture card that works well with Linux. It’s mostly to capture switch gameplay and stream it with OBS. Using Linux Mint with cinnamon if that makes a difference.
Hey all!...

Recently a game called “The Finals” has released and after their beta was over they stopped supporting Linux, and a lot of people are clearly pissed and have sparked a ton of debates within their Discord server but I constantly and constantly see an argument brought up by Windows users in the community saying that they dont...
[There isn’t one because I gamed on 100% Linux.]
I saw there was a somewhat similar post to this, but I’m kind of celebrating the fact that this was the first year I was able to game exclusively on Linux! I’m very thankful for all of the effort from the people involved in all of the aspects of Wine/Proton, it’s great to not need to reboot to play games.
so this keeps happening to monster hunter rise and ONLY monster hunter rise on my current install of eos....
I have a few questions, please comment if you match all of most of these:...
For the past few weeks, the download speed on steam via USB-Tethering on my Linux distro (Arch, btw) has been steadily going, barely reaching 2 MB/s right now. I thought it might be the ISP slowing Steam specifically down, since every other download worked at the expected speed (~15-30 MB/s)....
I’d like to try the new Assassin’s Creed and Avatar, but they’re not on Steam - which is how I play almost every other game on Linux. I know I might be able to install Uplay games using Lutris, but I’m not sure if the experience is as smooth as Steam + Proton....
Since some time, I’m play Satisfactory on Linux. Performance is fine so far. But if I look on the moving conveyer belts with objects like iron ore or other things, this moving parts produce smudged artifacts on the screen. I don’t know what this is called and what I can do against that. I have played the same game on the...
Linux is all good if you only play singleplayer games. My friends started playing the finals yesterday and it doesn’t run on linux because of EAC. Windows can run all my games without any proton switching and all the nvidia features like ray reconstruction and pathtracing with frame generation just works (alan wake 2 looks so...
