I am about to make the switch to Linux fully after a brief test period some time ago. Since you are all most likely more tech savvy than I, I wanted to ask if there were any immediate problems you see with this PC for running Linux Mint. I’m not aware of any, but it wouldn’t be the first time I was wrong....

I moved to Linux Mint fairly recently but still dual boot for a couple of programs that require Windows. I avoid Windows when I can but I like to play The Sims 4 and want to play it on Linux so I tried to install it on Steam (I own it on EA but it’s free on Steam right now and I haven’t been able to get Bottles to run the EA...

Gamescope, the microcompositor from Valve that is used on the Steam Deck that can also be used on desktop Linux, just got a major upgrade....

Hi, I would like to now if there is any closed source nvidia driver (the better one for gaming) for Nvidia Quadro FX1800. I wanted to show my brother some of linuxon my old laptop and I don’t want to make him bugged off by lack of gaming on it.

Has anyone managed to get SFSE working with Starfield? Ive looked it up and it seems straight forward (relatively) But my game just crashes when I use SFSE both with continuing my game and also creating a new game. This is even with no SFSE mods installed. So simply using SFSE to launch the game.

Have any of you gotten XeSS mods working with Starfield? They seem to either do nothing or make my game crash.

I posted this on the Linux mint forums a while ago, but no traffic on the post and it’s driving me crazy....

Anyone can help me? I wasn’t able to find any solution for this. The controller works via USB-C just fine but I only have a very short cable, I borrowed the controller from a friend to try it and don’t have the original cable but I was intending to play via Bluetooth anyways....

The game launcher starts but when I click on play, whole screen goes black and nothing happens. System becomes unresponsive and I need to hard reset it.

Still very new to the whole Linux world and I am looking for some help....
