The bug-fixing continued this week with the aim of getting Plasma 6.0.3 into a great state. Already the big bugs you folks found have almost all been fixed, and this week a lot of time was spent on some X11 regressions and various crashes that our new automatic crash reporting system was able to find (thanks for submitting...
One of the things I struggled with initailly when using immutables was installing programs like VPNS that need to interact with the immutable parts of the distro but don’t have a flatpak option. I figured I’d just make a post to help anyone with this specific issue regarding mullvad or if it helps people install other...

The exception being that every time something moves, there is a weird line in the middle of my monitor that almost “splits” the screen in half, like it’s off by a pixel or something. this isn’t really present in static images though. it’s pretty...

So basically I just opened my laptop this morning, and whilst typing in my password, the audio from the movie I was watching (via Jellyfin) started to play before I had actually logged in. I assume this is the system getting things...
I have an old laptop that I want to use to replace the “smart” features on my living room TV. Can anybody recommend a distro and setup which could act like a dashboard / remote control setup?...
Hi there - I’m trying to make use of flatpaks, but keeping them isolated from my host (as I need to experiment with a bunch of settings and I don’t want to bork my host environment. Again.)...

Dunno if this is Wayland, Thunderbird, Firefox or KDE causing this issue but in the past few days I've been giving Wayland a go. Been much snappier and no issues but for Firefox not taking focus when I open web links in Thunderbird....
I have a MacBook (specifically a MacBook2,1 A1181) from 2007. I am currently dual-booting Mac OS X 10.6 and crunchbang++ 12 on it, but I feel that there could be something better. Here are the specs:...
I found a binary file with a gibberish name in my home directory. Its content seems to be just hex zeroes when I open it in an online binary viewer. It doesn’t have execute permissions. It seems I accidentally ran spotify --uri= around the time the file was created (I could not replicate)....
