Hello! My old laptops hard drive packed it in, so I got a new one and now need to flash drive an operating system on it. I think this is my time to give Linux a proper go. I tried it before for my gaming PC but switched for a cracked Windows key because I was young and not bothered to learn....

I want to get into Arch Linux, but I don’t have that much experience and I feel like it’ll be easier to set it up in a virtual machine rathen than dual booting, I’ve used Oracle VirtualBox before but it’s very laggy. Are there any other VMs that aren’t as laggy, or do I just have a hardware issue?

So NVIDIA just doesn’t cut it on Linux/proton I’ve come to learn. Looking at the best bang//buck, it this the AMD card people are flocking to? 7800 XT maybe?

I could spend ages farting around with sed or awk but formats of files are constantly changing. I’d like a faster way to see a summary of training and a few other details when they are available.
