I was explaining to my daughter about the differences between Gimp and Photoshop and saw that Adobe had a page that claimed to compare the two. It never compares the two. It barely mentions Gimp. (www.adobe.com)

I expected ridiculous propaganda from Adobe, but they give absolutely no reasons why Photoshop is better than Gimp and list a bunch of things that Gimp can do too....

Sadly only SATA ports can be disabled on my board, that doesn’t seem to be possible to do to the nvme port, but thanks there!

Well i guess, i don’t really have whole system backups, but not much important data to be lost either, i know backups are good, but i don’t want my storage to go all on that…

Plus a broken boot on linux doesn’t necessarily means all files were lost right? (Unless storage is encrypted, which mine isn’t, but that’s a different case)

Will copying files from one external drive to another create write tasks for my machine internal drive? how does that work?

So, i use linux with kde and was copying some gigabytes of files from a smartphone to a usb device and while doing that the system monitor kept showing that it was writing some mb/s and i got curious, is said writing happening to my ssd or is it just talking about the usb drive?

Is it possible to make audio from both channels come out of the "front left" on pulse audio?

I hope it’s fine to ask this here, I’m using endeavor os with KDE and got some little speakers for my pc, they however only seem to play sound from the “front left” channel, is there a way to make pulse audio send all audio on it? Like, mono mode? I couldn’t find anything that does that…...

hey! So, i ended up trying to download this again and it worked perfectly, it was exactly what i needed, i think it didn’t work before cuz i had downloaded the wrong app, didn’t saw that the name was “easyeffects” and downloaded this “pulseeffects-legacy” one, which didn’t work probably cuz turned out i was using pipewire-pulse all along, so yeah, your suggestion was the one i needed soo, thank you!
